Does Darcy fort get a nomination
Grundy was probably Sydney’s best, but he didn’t really dominant Fort.
I wouldn’t even say Fort is in the 10 worst ruckman to play a grand final.

I'd say if you're part of a team that has lost two grand finals by 60+ points in three years, then you're amongst some of the worst grand final performers about regardless of standing in the game otherwise. No one from yesterday really deserves a mention in this thread.

You don’t think I know that?More of an impact than Stanley has ever had in a finals series

Remember the original benchmark was Aaron Keating.
None of yesterday’s players are anyway near to his level.
Listening to Max Gawn on a podcast the day before the GF, he actually said of any team to lose their main key ruck Brissy is best placed - he rates Fort as the best second ruck in the comp (although personally I'd say Freo might pip them having both Darcy and Jackson).Grundy was probably Sydney’s best, but he didn’t really dominant Fort.

Do two frees against and maybe even 3 clangers due to a 50 against count as stats? In any case Cam's as much a norf Premiership player as Carey, Harvey, Stevens, King, Archer and co.1 more than Cam Mooney in the 1999 Grand Final

If only Francis played...Sydney were forced to play Logan Macdonald on one leg and persist with Amartey one-out because they had the worst list of emergencies in Grand Final history.
Ladhams
Francis
Cleary (who?)
In hindsight we should have seen this result coming. They had no depth. A few injuries next year and it could be a bottom 10 finish for the Swans.
No current season stats available
That last name isn’t made for GFsAaron Shattock had donuts in the 2002 grand final too. I think he was on the ground for 10 minutes total.
Somehow or another the Swans believe he's a key back. Really he's a good honest third back like a Ryan Lester .Tom McCartin has had two nightmare Grand Finals, I feel a bit sorry for the bloke.
Fort is the reason you have a decent backup option on case your main ruck gets injured. Mature body more than capable of being competitive. Been around a long time.Grundy was probably Sydney’s best, but he didn’t really dominant Fort.

Hitouts mean nothing if your not making use out of them. Midfield got smacked so Grundy's role became ineffectual36 hitouts to 19
Yep, towelled.
Just lucky he was on the winning team
Don’t we know it. 2019 prelim Grundy had more hitouts to his toes when the game was congested rather than trying to open things upHitouts mean nothing if your not making use out of them. Midfield got smacked so Grundy's role became ineffectual
