All Collingwood needs to do at season end is make sure they keep the 40-50,000+ members happy. If they trade Didak away it will come under huge amount of fire, the club is run by supporters. Now if they traded Didak for anything less than his MARKET value the club will be hammered left right and center by the people who make it spin, the MEMBERS, we will shake it that hard gods know what will fall out. For that reason the Collingwood Football club does not give a flying **** what some reporter or coach or player or person from another club thinks. Didak is a superstar.

Its funny, people think it makes us weaker or something, in actual fact by having Didak even close to a trade table gives us huge amounts of power.

We dont or wont do anything with Didak unless we want to. Simple. He is contracted.

So try not to dream too hard about seeing him in your jumper just yet, because you obviously think its a firesale.

And you're actually like we've initiated the trade talks, and are desperate to nab him.

I've already told you. I'd trade Johncock and our 2nd.
or possibly even
our 1st round + Douglas

something like that. a high price.

quite frankly, I'd be looking for ways to DO the deal, not ways not too.
Delist

Our 1st round and Douglas, so effectively 2 first round picks for him. Man you gotta be dreamin'. FFS we have Porps and Mackay who have skills to burn, so you propose we bring in someone older, with dodgy knees and behavioural issues???

Let him stay at Collingscum where he belongs.

According to the Herald Sun half time reporter on channel 10 the interest for Didak and combination of GC17 had led some clubs to put young high draft pick players from the last few years on the table.. nobody wants to give up picks in the last great draft.. that actually makes sense

From Port the Victorian standouts are: Boak Gray Carlile
The Victorian value picks are: Farmer Bentley Thomas

Adelaide: Stand out Victorians are Knights Douglas MacKay
Value pick Victorians are: Cook Otten Dangerfield

The most likely scenario is one player from the stand out group and one from the value group

My choices would be Gray and Bentley from Port (I think Boak is untouchable)

And MacKay and Dangerfield from Adelaide (Knights may be untouchable)

Yea or nay?

Dangerfield is the next Judd.

Where do we (Port) sign?

Bentley is in danger of ending up in one of those prestige second hand car yards at the end of the year.

Listening to Eddie and Gary Pert over the last few days I have no doubt that Collingwood is going to offer Didak as a trade

However, given that Didak is still contracted he must agreee to the trade, so Didak will need to agree to the terms of the trade.

In regards to trading picks, I would be very  if any clubs will offer a top 10 pick, IMO, every year their seems to be greater emphasis on the draft, only players in the J Brown, Judd, Bartel or Ablett ilk on and off the field would demand a top ten pick. How talented Didak is, I am not sure if he is in the same tier at this stage.

If Didak becomes available, what will clubs be prepared to give? This will depend on the clubs list needs, the clubs assessment of this years draft, and the clubs assessment on Didak's market value, once the clubs have determined these factors they will be in a position to know what they are prepared to offer

Knights for me may be untouchable. He is very consistant at our club and he loves it here.
Craigy loves him also.

Mackay & Dangerfield >>>>>>>>>> (Times 100) than Gray & Bentley and I am being serious.

We will probably never want to give up Danger...
Mackay may be available.

Bentley was in doubt of playing next year (omited) and Gray is maybe a something like Mackay to us.

If this is the trade Port will sign it now.

Looking at Collingwood's team, I would say they would target

midfielders, with the retirement of Buckley last year, they need to ease the workload on Burns and Lockyer
ruckman, lack of depth in this area, they have struggled when Fraser has been injured
key defender, with Wakelin closer to the end of his career, tall defenders may be a immediate need

Based on these needs

IMO - Knights and Dangerfield will be untouchable,
Knights is a key part of the transition plan to prepare for the post Goodwin, Edwards, Macca era
Dangerfield, the club showed plenty of courage to draft Danger and not Ebert, the club has high hopes that Danger will have the flexibility of a C Cornes or J Hird, to beable to play forward, back or in the middle, trading Danger may hurt us for many years to come

Trade Possibilities
Radar, I am for one that would want to retain radar, however, the trade needs to be a win - win for both clubs, Radar will provide Collingwood value in a trade
McGregor, with the Pies short on Key Tall Defenders, Kenny may be added as a deal sweetner
Griffin, Maric, Tippett and Moran are now position in front of Griffin, the crows may be prepared to trade Griff and top up in the draft
MacKay, again, would love to see him stay, it will depend on his home sick factor, however he may be considered in a player package deal

Yeah even the Port boys don't like Bentley which means they don't really have a lot of what I'd want without shaking Boak free.. maybe Chaplin and Grey.. but mids are our priority

you also mentioned Gray which was a bit of a shock, IMO Collingwood are well placed for small-mid size forwards, Medhurst, Davis and Dawes all play the same role

A few think he'll develop into a genuine in an under mid.. but it's hard to come up with anything we really need apart from Boak.. if the Herald Sun is right and it's going to be recent draft picks then you guys seem to have a better selection to pick from for our needs

I would be  if Port traded Boak, he is a class act and Port is very thin in the midfield

Which is why I marked him as untouchable.. so that leaves them with very little to work with.. I think Mark Williams wants Didak big time but you guys are in the box seat

Well - if it was me ...

I would offer Johncock to Port for Thomson and their second round pick.

I would put the following pieces on the table for Collingwood - Knights, Douglas, Mackay, Cook and our second round pick.

I'm fine with whatever two things they take out of that, though if they wanted two of Knights/Douglas/Mackay we MAY want a sweetener.

That sounds like a John Reid trade. So we are giving Port an elite small backman ( up until a month ago, in the running for AA honurs ) for a 3rd round pick (Thompson ) and a 2nd rounder.

Ummm - third round pick? Is that your smarta** way of saying that's what you think Adam Thomson's value is? I find it hard to think they'd give him up for that. He has second round value., so we're trading a mid-twenties small defender for two second round picks, which seems about right.

You cannot group a heap of C-B graders and offer them up for Didak.

Knights cannot kick, forget that we need midfielders who can kick. The others add no value to our side.
