Not sure if I will get a chance to get there mate, if I do I will definately come and say hello,

Someone will be there though to check you guys out in my absense .

Good luck for tomorrow and others who are playing

How did everyone go in their practice matches today? Devils played Portarlington at St Leonards and went down by about 5 goals. Apparently a few of the new guys and Richo were pretty impressive.

Evo, just curious to why you were running around in the twos ? Are you playing 2s this year.

Also, any talls to come into your senior side, you were very small today from all reports. :thumbsu:

Watched the game between Nth Footscray and Portarlington on Saturday in very warm conditions. Pretty confident in saying the result was greater than 5 goals in Port's favour. How many 1's players were missing from Nth's? Port were missing 6 cert's, 2 of which played for the 2's after returning from problems. Port ran over them the longer the game went. Am sure both teams will improve for having the run.

I heard it already mate, but only 2nd hand as I wasn't there. As soon as the guys were having a beer after the match, Port Arlington officials let it be known they missing 8 players. Doesn't really mattter does it?

Devils had about 5-6 missing, plus a couple of senior players in the reserves. I heard it was a great hit out, PA were not much up at 3/4 time and as you said ran over them in the last quarter. Your league is obviously of a higher standard, so yeah a good hit out. Good luck for the season.

G'day Red Devil.
My comments weren't meant to be of a negative nature. Just trying to gauge how Port stacked up against you hence asked how many regulars you had out.
All teams seem to have a few good ones out at this time of year. Port will really be bolstered when their's come back so I hope your missing players will do the same for you.
I will watch Nth's progress throughout the year as you have quite a few ex Port boys back at your club now.
Good luck to you and your side this year. Hope it is a successful one for you and even more so for Port. It would be great for Port to have some strong and consistent success.
Cheers.

Watched the first half of laverton V Queenscliff and am sure all at the Magpies would admit they were outclassed. No scoreboard but am sure it was 10-02 to 0-1 at quarter time. Queenscliff fullforward was kicking them from every where. Lavo certainly better in the second quarter. New coach might want to move himself up the ground from the square and get into the game a bit more. Fitness certainly seemed an issue, but a bigger concern was no ruckman of sorts and didnt win a clearance in the first half. Dont know the side well but Lavo would want to hope the have some to come back or they will definately struggle.
Rightfooter any news on Tim Morrison? I hope he is OK.

yeah mate i was havin a run around in the magoos....i obviously aim to play seniors but like all on our list have to earn my spot and i still have a few more kg's to loose before season. but i was certainly better for the run as that was my first game in nearly 2 years after doin my knee and breakin my leg...so i got through and got a couple of touches which was good.

no more hints before round 1......hahahaha

I had a look at Glenordon vrs Old Westbourne Ammo's D 2 Team, no scores but i think Westbourne won easy and they had 10 of there seniors out.

The Western region has slipped a bit since the old FOOTSCRAY DISTRICT DAYS OF 1960 -1970'S when they were one to the best comps going around.
