people are concerned that they finish 7th or 8th and play the only 1st week final at the g against an interstate club who finished higher.

the pies due to the eddie-engineered run home will finish between 6th and 4th, almost guaranteeing a home final.

for christ sake. hate collingwood all you want. hate eddie all you want. but youre seriously deluding yourself and/or are paranoid to suggest eddie controls the fixturing. we've been to adelaide twice and brisbane once to date this season and sydney later in the year. im the first to conceed not going to perth is an advantage, yet we went twice last year. from memory, every victorian club travels interstate 4 times this season with the exception of north and i think the tigers, who travel 5 times. essendon also have a cruisy run home but no-one seems to mind.
freo are a great side, pies are starting to find form and will be spurred on by the loss of perhaps our greatest son this week. should be a great game.

Colin wood avoid coming to perth all year where most vic sides come at least once, some twice. An interesting observation is that vic teams coming over here not only lose here, but also in their following game, therefore its a 2 loss trip.

If you reckon fat eddie has nothing to do with avoiding perth by "buying" an extra game in sydney, youve got rocks in ya head.

Actually I reckon it is the other way around. I think that it is the Dockers who are ****y. That's why I think that they will lose and Collingwood will win. Face it they will have extra incentive due to the unfortunate death of Bob Rose.

we havent bought an extra sydney game and if it eventuates, its not this season.
as for the travel, i agree not going to perth is an advantage. in all honesty though, returning from perth doesnt bother collingwood. while we lost both perth games in '02, we went back the following week and knocked off the kangas by 5 or 6 goals and carlton by over 100 points.
