for all those people that were upset we didn't get rich, here is another win for hughes and the scouts.

yarran will be far better than rich, who won't be bad.

superstar in the making.

Re: yarran>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>rich

He needs to play more in the midfield, will be a star.

Great to see Chris growing into his talent. I was a fan of his work when he played at Swans and have had a few chuckles over idiots on BF writing him off early.
Looks like he knows he belongs out there now. He'll do well.

Hahaha you mugs. Rich is being thrown right in the coalface and learning to

have inside skills as well as being an outside player on the wing, as he was

last year. This is still essentially a learning year for him. Unlike Yarran, young

Daniel Rich is being primed to be a consistent

and hard ball winner, and not a down hill skier who pops up every few games

with some opportunistic goals.

in five years time:

Chris Yarran = Leon Davis
Daniel Rich = Brownlow medallist

BTW i am not bitter about tonights win, you guys well and truly whooped our pathetic asses, i just had to comment on this ridiculous thread...

Brisbane are heading down the road of Laidley's North Melbourne who traded for immediate success and screwed it all up.

Rich is your Daniel Wells and overrated.

Rich is having a learning year??? lol. He played the same role in the WAFL for 2 years against men. And the same role last year at the Lions. The only thing Rich needs to learn is to break a hard tag ;)

Was there ever any doubt? ;)

Rich has never excited me personally, a good footballer for sure but very limited improvement and no real stand out attributes except that left boot, at least from what I've seen.

Yazza is pure silk and ridiculously talented.

No pace.. no tank... no right foot... prototype AFL midfielder...:thumbsu:

Wait and see how much he begins to get exposed without Black and Power...:D

If I were a Paddlepops fan I'd be disappointed in Rich, and when you lose Black Power and Captain Incredible Borwon, he's gonna look mighty lost. For a guy who won rising star and has possibly the best midfield kick since N.Buckley he's played like a less than Campeorele receiver this year. Paddlepops list has 'flag' written all-over it, but the depth in the team has showed to be lacking. Amazing how shit Paddlepops re once Brown is out. You look good on paper.

Yazza's skills have really emerged this year. While he can be inconsistent, he'll need 2 or 3 preseasons to toughen up, but sheesh, he's good beautiful finishing skills ,esp around goal. Hopefully Walker and Carrots and Holua learn some of his Indigenous magic!

I thought last year that Rich's leg speed was his achilles heel. Think it was disguised by the quality of his disposal and those around him.

Well known that he had trouble breaking a tag and it looks like he may have as much trouble applying one (didn't get near Judd last night).

Will always be a good player but I don't think a great one. On the other hand I think Yarran may develop into a great one as, incidentally, will Hill, who like Rich has great delivery, but has the added advantage of pace.

My view at this point:

Hill>Yarran>Rich and I think only the first two are a chance to change

Plagiarize much? The penalty btw is you get taken around to Brownies place, tied to his bbq and players take turns reading their memoir's to you, and if you dont spot Wallsies ghost writing they do it all again only this time in French with La Marseillaise on his quadraphonic stereogram. They do at least provide an interpreter when Fev gets his turn. (And if you cant make sense of this post, it is because I like to be in keeping with the protagonist I retort to!)

You are seriously delusional if still think Rich is a better prospect than Yarran. You have already seen the best Rich has, you aint seen the half of what Yazz has. It aint how you start in this caper its how far you go.

And how is that logic that it is a learner for Rich but not Yazz? I think you will find in years to come that Rich is nothing but a Baker like tagger trying to keep the star Mids like Yarran from doing too much damage. Except Rich will never have the speed to keep up with a full tank Yazz.

Enjoy the recitals.
