My argument is for Essendon supporters who reckon their team is Gods Gift when they are actually in the same situation as us.

Who has said Essendon is Premiership threat?
Doesn't the fact that so many are happy to get within three goals of Brisbane give some sort of indication of where most Essendon supporters see the team finishing?

Also, many of these supporters are all silent when the dons are down but when they are back up for a minute it's like the northern lights.

Aren't we down at the moment? We just came off our worst season in 25 years , for many that is the worst season since they've been born (me included) and there are plenty of us around.

Mate......Im a ex-Fitzroy boy..and yes i am still aware of who John Gastev is.
Fitzroy member since birth...i hate nothing more than a bandwagon jumper.

And another thing...Brisbane did not play Very well at all...there was mistakes all over the place, luckily essendon were alot worse.

i think i know this chick, she's been a fitzroy supporter since birth.........joined up as a member towards the end of 2001.....coincidence? nah

mate...i have already conceeded that this season won't be a good one for the lions. I predict a 10-13th finish.
My agruments never state that I think Brisbane will win the flag, make the 8 or neccesarrily have anything to do with where brisbane will finsh.

Many Essendon Supporters have been going on and on about last nights game being an admirable loss....let me put a few things into perspective, and I am not going to sugar coat it.

1. Dons = full team - Hird
2. Lions = no lappin, hadley, drummond, adcock, b.scott and C.Scott
3. We didnt play very well at all last night but still got the 4 points, and that is never good for the opposition with the way we have been playing.
4. 2 debutants tonight for us and 2 2nd gamers.

If you guys are going down to us at nearly full strength to us in terrible form with 4 of our most valuable players missing, then me thinks 2006 will be another failure for the dons.
