Scharenberg then don't care. Rate Dom Sheed pretty highly though.
So
Scharenberg - 6
Sheed -10
Thorpe -67
For picks 6 & 10 id go in order of preference/availabilty:
  1. Sharenberg - reminds me of a Jimmy Clement, could take Maxwells role now, also help our rebound out of def with Heater gone.
  2. Aish - outside but proven against the men of the SANFL. To me has tremendous upside.
  3. Bonetmpeli - From the moment I saw this kid I knew I liked him, X-Factor+++. and he keeps growing, at about 193cm, with scope to keep growing, imagine the opp mids trying to stopa rampant Grundy tapping it down to pendles and Bonts.
  4. Salem - See Aish, fantastic user of the ball (something I think we lack particularly coming out of our back half) could be the prototype to beat Clarko's cluster version 2013 and beyond.\
  5. McCarthy - unknown quantity. played about 10games of footy in the last few years. Showed enough to suggest he could have pushed up the draft order in the 2nd half of the year. big plus in my book is having not played a lot of footy, Bucks and the coaching staff can mould him into what they like, having not been heavily influenced by other coaches. big + in my book
Would not be unhappy with any of the above combos of players. however;
Who I don't want Decka to read out: Freeman/Lennon
For pick 67: Id love Thorpe, and Id love to take a big risk on Gartlett - with a number of our problematic players on our list now gone, I think the foundations are there to turn this kid around. If we cant, then we delist him and at pick 67 in a shallow draft - no harm done.

Don't want Bomp. For me, he's too skinny and could have trouble gaining weight like Guy Richards. Could end up another Justin Kosi. Too much risk with him.

Hes not a key position player - he's a mid/HF. How skinny was pendles when we drafted him? id imagine they'd have similar body shapes.

From the footage I saw he was in the Xavier Eliis skinny mould and playing key position centre half forward and full forward, no thanks.

You're a terrible judge of body types.

He will be a monster in a few years and will be a midfielder.

Bont does have broad shoulders though. I'd think he'll fill out like a smaller Ben Reid. Quite lanky but broad shoulders. He's quite thick in the legs too.

Pick 6: Aish - Would be shouting Jim Beam Cans if this happened. Number 1 mid in the draft. Exceptional footskills and good pace. Might be more outside, but with JT, Adams and Ball with a few yrs left we have that inside grunt work covered. Grundy, Pendles, Aish and either Adams/JT would be Comp best midfield in a few years.

Pick 10: Scharenberg or Bonts: Scout of Extreme has already stated that Scharenberg is just ranked outside his top 5. He would have a fair idea what Hine and the other Pies recruiters have with their rankings. I can see Scharenberg sliding to #10 more of a chance than Aish. The question of Schranberg is what position will he end up? He has a bit of Goddard about him and could see that old word "utility" be uses to best decribe him. Floats across the backline taking intercept marks, takes kick outs with his elite disposal. Can make cameos in the midfield and can take a great mark up forward. Could really use his type in our team.
Bonts - saw the Daicos video with him and the guy has some serious tricks. Great kick with X-factor. Just hope if we do pick him up he doesnt turn into another Jarren Brennan. As we have Pendles on the list, I think Scharenberg fits our needs more, but would be very happy if Matt wasnt there at #10 to take the Bont.

Pick 67: Would love Garlett, but Bucks wont take him considering the Rat pack was shipped away. Wouldnt mind Mitch Thorpe. Might be that 3rd tall fwd that could end up like a Jack Gunston.

Dream draft - it's brought forward 3 days so that by tomorrow the speculation is all over!

Too many potentials all painted as practically superstars that it's doing my head in.

At the moment my Hine list would look something like:
Boyd
Scharenberg
Bontempelli
Acres
Sheed
Lennon
KK
Crouch
Billings
Aish
Kelly
Freeman
McCarthy
Taylor

Notes:
1. I know it would be shorter than this for our top two picks but would need to have done more research
2. Aish, Kelly, Taylor all rate lower for me than most as lighter bodies and less height so lower ceilings than what I'd hope for from say Bontempelli or Acres
3. Salem omission due to not liking suggestions he goes missing a bit against better sides.
4. Like suggestions in this thread that are a little left field eg Cripps & hearing about some of the options for 67 eg Sokol, Pearce. For mine would be happy with Conlon, Sokol, Thorp, Pearce but not Garlett.

Would also look at Jake Greisser at 67 if we've gotten Bontempelli, Acres or KK with one or two of our earlier picks, purely from a strong body ready to go perspective. http://www.scpaige.com.au/drafees-in-focus-jake-greiser/

Overall I think we have plenty of depth and would like to add some more high end talent - which we are well placed to do with our picks.

Aish and Scharenberg. Simple as that. We would be absolutely laughing.

Any combination of one of those plus Salem, McCarthy or Bontempelli and I'd still walk away pleased. We're in a good position. Can't wait!

I'm happy to wait. Hine reckons there is a real separation between the top ten and the rest. The way I read it that means this draft is already a win from Hine's perspective. Besides GWS, no other club has access to two of this year's elite players.

Yes i agree, i have read about all these players but i think our recruiting staff will understand a lot more than the average supporter so will trust DH and hope we get the best players that fit into our needs !

#6 Billings/Aish/Scharenberg
#10 Billings/Aish/Scharenberg/Bontempelli/Kolodjashnij/Salem
#65 Conlon/Thorpe

Not keen on McCarthy, Lennon, Freeman. Not entertaining any possibility that Boyd or Kelly get to us.
