Love that one of McVeigh. We were right behind the goals that day. Brought the house down. Pity we couldn't go on and win that one...bloody Lovett!!

Wangas..have you ever seen a player who was more fearless..awesome.

Pat Wellington EFC '72 -'76, 58 games, 42 goals. Never heard of him till watching that clip of the marks.

Says he died of cancer at a young age..knew how to fly for a grab that's for sure.

Indeed. Seeing a young Mark Thompson strutting his stuff in that '83 Reserves team is actually quite interesting.

glen1771 has another good channel - some of his work dates back into the mid-70's (admittedly most of it is Geelong games), but, there's some Essendon matches in that one as well.

Doubt that many of the younger generation realise how good Tim Watson was.

Timmy is one player who would thrive in the modern game.

Think of Dane Swan but better skilled, better overhead and more power.
