We have Lyon as a decent spinner but I think he was overlooked because he is terrible with the bat. The selectors clearly favoured all rounders.

They would ideally like 11 of them.

All I have been reading on this forum since the start of our innings is that our batters should just take it easy and do nothing stupid, just tick off the runs slowly.

Clarke comes in, tries to do that very thing, and people start calling him selfish for trying to do exactly what is required in this situation, unbelievable.

I'm not a Clarke fan but the important thing here is not to lose another wicket and open the door for NZ
