Im happy to let anyone have the pick they want in any circumstance like this one.DID EVERYONE GET THAT?If shifty made his pick I would have lived with it! He didn't, I want my pick. Same goes for anyone else if you show up and the person b4 your picks time is up, make it and move on. If not they can make their pick as was stated early in this draft. I or sleepy had the right to make a picks for people being commish but I have gone easer on people as the draft has progressed.Larkis never had the right to choose for me or anyone else other than his pick.Shifty and sleepy and myself were the only people who could make my selection.The 10 hour limit was to get our league moving after a slow start.After the reasons given I think its fair to allow me my pick.Same rules apply to all others here

Although it seems fair, what if the player A contemplating their pick after player B has missed a deadline, wants the same player as B chooses and thus has their choice unfairly inhibited.

No, we outlined a clear cut process. 10 hours, afterwards you get the top rated ESPN player. The process was made transparent days ago, if you objected, you should have voiced it then.

Whats funny is you outlined why we needed the deadline, but now claim that we shouldnt have had one at all.Claiming that 'same rules apply to all others' here is a joke. We have been drafting under a deadline. Its just everyone else has respected it, and you dont seem to think you should have to.

As far as you being a league GM goes, i dont think thats tenable.

I doubt it happened, even if it did too bad for them we all miss picks throughout the draft and in the circumstance shifty had not yet selected Im in the green and technically Judy was too.If judy made his pick 2 sec b4 me 19 hours late it counts.

The rules were NEVER changed southern!They have been this way since I took over. Commish or next persons make pick after deadline!

Thats a new angle you're trying to work, to claim that noone else has legitimation.

It was not a 'Commish decision' scenario. It was the top rated ESPN player.

Meanwhile not two days ago it was posted that we would be strictly adhering to the 8 hour deadline, and if you missed it you would be given the top rated ESPN player.

You had no objection.

again im gonna have to make the decision obviously. haynesworth and clements stands.
theres no such thing as a deadline anymore.
it's merely a pre-deadline deadline now.
you have 10 hrs, you get given a player, if you dont change it by the time the next person has made their pick then you cant have it reversed EVER.

is that clear to everyone? and no one better threaten to quit over this new rule or when they DONT get allowed to change their pick after the next has made their pick.

im not happy with a whole bunch of you, and a whole bunch of you arent happy with each other, or me.
i didnt want to bend the rules, the line got drawn. but if someone quits right now i cant replace them because Gamma is already down one person and im looking after that team until i can find someone else.
if i replace galactic now with someone from gamma, then gamma ends up being ruined because of it.

but that's what im gonna have to do to ensure gamma doesnt get ruined by someone in beta quitting because they didnt get to reverse the deadline pick.

and theres a chance too that if a person quit beta no one would want the team they already drafted 20 players for. so you could end up with two ruined dynasties all over nate ####ing clements. but i am worried about beta even if no one quit, because stuff like this can easily happen again during the season when people start wanting rules changed, bent or circumvented.

Or GG, as he he made many picks for people throughout this draft. I understand what you're saying, Galactic, in that considering shifty had not yet picked you and juddy were free to redo yours, but the time limit is there for a reason. I know if/when i miss a deadline i won't be questioning whether i can change or not because that was the rule.
Personally I feel the 8 hour time limit isn't enough anyway, but we have been giving people more time overnight (est time) have we not, considering a lot of people (including myself) may not check the forum sometimes from say 1 or 2am until about midday the next day.

Meanwhile, you using that to claim that you should not be bound to the deadline implies that you would not hold yourself to the rules that you knew existed.

Even if the limit is changed 95% of the time people will get their picks in.Because there is still a huge chance that they won't have the opportunity to pick when the next person is quick via personal picks or due to a list...

your are manipulating my words ST and I dont appreciate it. My rules were made clear early and we had many rounds of happines until now. Now when I have a problem everyone jumps on me for it. I juts wanted us to have a good time and make our picks in a timely manner.The deadline is just the same and you know damn well what I mean

No, what Galactic is claiming should apply to everyone is not what he has accepted he knew the rules where. What hes trying to contest now is some weak premise that only the commissioner was allowed to assign the automatic pick to the person who had missed. Not exactly a strong arguement.

Strange, i must be missing the part where you became a god unto yourself, and was given sole rule making powers. Even stranger, considering im reasonably sure you didnt make the call regarding QBs.
