OUT: Head, Browne, Drum, Murphy

IN: Broughton, Hinkley, Solomon, Gilmore

Broughton > Head. Enough said really.

Hinkley > Browne. He is younger, and could have the same impact on a game with much more upside. Won a brownlow vote last game and was good in the preseason. Has pace to burn and harrasses the ball carrier.

Solomon > Drum. Just a better mr. fix it.

Gilmore > Murphy. Better at playing all over the ground as Harvey is experimenting with Murphy. Also provides another option down back if needed.

I would go:

Out: Head, Murphy, Browne
In: Solly, Broughton, Hayden

If Hayden doesn't get up, then have a look at Hinkley. He had a reasonable, but certainly not great, game for Swans yesterday... and if we are rewarding WAFL form, probably needs to be a bit better before getting a call up.

Stay away from Thornton and Gilmore - from reports both were tripe for Souths. And that is being unkind to tripe.

Murphy's 2 goals probably saved him, however...

But please, just please do not drop Suban or Hill.

I'd keep Drum and forget about Gilmore. Drummy was average at best tonight but atleast his skills are pretty good. The last thing we need is Gilmore and his 55m kicks that look great off the boot but go straight to the opposition.

Agree with the rest though. Hayden has back related hamstring soreness (I think) so might be fit for next week.

i watched the swans game aginst subi on abc, hinkly gets a lot of the ball and goes hard but his kicking is prity bad. he had a shot at goal 45m out and was well short of making the distance. if he can improve on that area of his game he will be a great player for us. I was also very impresed with Pratt showed a lot of poise in defence

OUT: Head, Browne, Murphy, Dodd
IN: Broughton, Pratt/Walters, Solomon, Hayden

Its probably premature to put Pratt/Walters in the team, but from the little I saw on ABC, they looked like they could actually kick. Could also bring Hinkley in and see if his disposal can magically improve.

OUT: Browne, Head
IN: Hayden (Broughton), Solomon

I actually feel a little bit sorry for Browne since he gives 110% effort but he just made too many mistakes today. I am not sure if he would improve in this area if he got some confidence back by playing few consecutive games. I would not be too disappointed to see him play again next week.

I think Head will be a definite OUT. His kicking is not even good enough for WAFL.

Hayden IN if fit and Broughton if not. Solomon is obvious inclusion.

I would not make any more changes and would play Murphy up forward for the entire game.

Hill and Suban need to get as many games as possible. Neither was brilliant today but they were solid and will only get better. Suban's kicking really looks good.

Out: Murphy, Head, Browne
In: Solomon, Hayden, Hinkley (We defiantly need to bleed out the youngsters)

Man I can't wait till Ballantyne and Mayne are ready to play.

Yup... but I reckon Murphs got 3 games to save his afl career.

IN:

Definite - Solomon, Hayden (if fit).
Probable - Broughton.
Possible - Hinkley, Gilmore.

OUT:

Probable - Head.
Possible - Browne, Murphy, Drum.

We are short on mid-fielders at the moment and that may save Browne for at least a week.

I don't know what Drum did wrong. He wasn't outstanding but neither was 3/4 of the team. I'd keep him for next week.

OUT: Head, Browne, Murphy, Dodd

IN: Solomon, Broughton, Hayden, Hinkley

I thought Dodd was ok, Head's turnovers were too costly. Looking forward to a fit Hayden, Mayne and Ballas!

None of u guys think suban/hill will be dropped?
good for my dreamteam. Although i dont think Hill would have played if harvey didnt say he would 2 weeks prior.

Also sorry for your loss u guys did ok untill the last qtr.

Forget Pratt, Pearce or Van Berlo. As good as they may play, you can only elevate one of them if you put someone on the LTI list, and we don't have any long term injuries.

It was mentioned in another thread that Hayden has done a hamstring, can't find any confirmation on it though.

In: Solomon, O'Brien, Broughton
Out: Head, Browne, Murphy

I'm not sure how O'Brien is in regards to his injury, has there been any more news on him? But my thinking is that a half fit O'Brien will still offer more heart and attack than Head and Murphy combined.

Solomon is the obvious inclusion, while Broughton deserves his chance after Head's spectacular failure.

I won't be at all surprised if Head plays next week. They've spent all summer practicing kick in routines and structures, Head clearly isn't up to it but he has been identified as the go to guy and could be retained.

O'Brien is similar to Browne though, he works hard but doesn't get enough of the ball.

Head, Browne and Drum clearly aren't up to top level AFL standard at the moment and need to go. But who to come in?

OUT: Head and Drum
IN: Broughton and Soloman

If Hayden is fit then bring him in for Head.

Unfortunately, can't see a replacement for Browne yet. Maybe De Boer after another WAFL hitout?

Obrien was improving with every game he played...good kick and hard as nails...give him the extended time others get and I think we'll reap the benefits.

Better value than both Murphy and Browne

I fear you might be right, but it appears the only kick-in routine we've practiced is bombing the ball 55m to a pack of 12 players with every single kick in.

What I'd like to happen...

OUT: Browne, Head, Murphy
IN: Solomon, Hayden, Hinkley

What will likely happen....

OUT: Head
IN: Solomon

At a guess Hayden won't get up for next week. We need to be at full strength to have any chance against Top 8 sides this year...that inlcudes Mayne, Headland, Hayden & untried Ballantyne all fit & playing. Otherwise it's going to be a long year.....saying that, I still like our chances against Essendon this week.

This is covered in the game review thread. We have no depth. Its hard to see how Head and Browne could justify an AFL spot in any team. I know we all hope that Browne turns it around and gets a through a season but I have lost faith in him already.
