Don't worry MBIB, our players antics aren't even close to that those braindead nethanderals up in NSW ...

Uriniating on an pub window or sheninigans with fire hydrants are a far cry from indulging in group sex/rape (or in other terms gang bangs ...)

I cannot defend our players behaviour at all, but certainly it is the lesser of two evils (compared to the scandals of the thugby league players up in NSW/QLD)

And the NRL boys need to be named and shamed at the time, none of this years later rubbish.
 
The other problem you have with Fev is , you drop him for a few weeks to the seconds and he would probably see it as an excuse to get pissed. I wouldn't put it past him .

It hasn't been mentioned but my biggest concern is this.

We play interstate on saturday night, which means they did a recovery after the game then flew back to Melbourne, which means they wouldn't have been back in town until close midnight and yet they still decidied to head out on the town??

Just a quick question - if we drop players like hoops or Fev to the Ants do they receive a match payment as such? Perhaps dropping them ie suspending them is a better option if they are to miss a senior game.
Even for the players who did not hit the Britney Speers as hard, there is still the fact that they were not doing what is really ideal recovery practices considering they knew they had interstate flights to include in their week. Unprofessional, juvenille behaviour which may have contributed to a loss that we should not have let slip.
All there should be accountable and the ones who over indulged more so!
It is not about being party poopers. We are their employers ie our $$ pay them. If my employees turn up to work tired and emotional after a night out I send them home and they do not get paid. I expect the same from my footy club!

One of my mates used to play for the doggies back in around 2000.. Back then he was on $2500 per senior game and $700 for reserves... Dont know what it is now but it is a significant drop.. Just depends on the player...
 
Untill ALL of the players involved are named...then I am not even going to bother chasing this up. Sure I KNOW that this is a problem at the club I LOVE and SUPPORT, but until our supporters grow some balls and release ALL the names of the players involved..then I am just going to need to take the info on face value. How do I know you're not just some punk trying to find some excuse for the loss on Sunday? We don't (Although you made a post during the week..that doesnt mean shit).

You to need to name EVERY player that was out with Fev/Hoops etc, so that the fans/Club can chase it up and see what comes from there. If they were just catching a taxi home, etc, then those truths will come to light and nothing will happen to those players.

Just releasing Fev's name and saying that we have some problem drinkers in our club doesnt accomplish shit! It just turns our supporters against the club, and gives them an excuse for our pathetic excuse of football which we showed on Sat night.

The end of the day, all we want as supporters is what is best for the Carlton Football Club and if we can make the club aware of problems that may be occuring in our own backyard, then the sooner, the better!

Jeez, Give them a break.

They are people like you and me, I know this sound immature and irresponcible to say but screw it, They wanna go out on the town and have a big one there own choice, If they think they can do that and still be capable of playing on the weekend good on them.

Everyones entitled to have abit of fun, it annoys me when everyone says Fevola's this and that blah blah...yet forget without Fevola I doubt we wouldnt even be in the top 8, I know this season hasnt been his best so far...but he is one of the best if not the best attacking forwards in the comp, he has tackled and crashed packs alot this season and set up alot of goals...who cares if he gets pissed and has a night out, his choice all that matters is that he goes out there and kicks goals. Now Im not saying his performance was good on freo...twas shocking, Though dont jump to conclusions that it was because he was partying.

I would guess Bryce Gibbs & Judd would've been the responcible ones since they are two team leaders, Though you would think if Fev or any of the others where to badd they wouldve said "come on mate your going home".

Dont just jump to conclusions that we played bad because of this, Thats just people looking for something to blame a bad game on.

Doesent matter anyway were gonna demolish the pies this week, What happend against freo is in the past move on and start hassling pies supporters about how when were done with them...they'll have two anus's aha.
 
I've penned a private letter to the club with names and all, sent it via email and it us up to them if they do anything about it, i've been made aware that they are already aware anyway and i take that on face value as being true. They can take my complaint on board or not.

I'm not going to name names on here, especially when the majority of the group was well behaved and its only a handful that went overboard (out of a large group that was enjoying themselves responsibly i might add), led by Fev who was very unprofessional with the time he was out til and the example he was setting, which others who were out later than i was and at other venues have backed me up on!

The idiot that said Judd was involved in being a dill, is a dill himself, the most professional of the lot is Judd.

People are serving nothing by throwing names out there when my OP was to highlight the unprofessionalism off field of a few senior players.
 
They do these things then it's professionals not acting professional.

You drop them, bring them back and a few weeks later they forget they were ever punished.

The only way is to take them aside and put them through a grulling fitness session instead of what they are ment to do. That IMO is the only punishment for this. Put them through it while they are still seedy and they will remember the punishment for life.

well done blueblooded, you have done the right thing and I hope all other supporters would do the same.
 
One thing I would suggest is for blueblooded to name a few of the better players who did do the right thing.

Then you all have got a group to support and rally behind, which really helps the supporters in a time like this. This approach was very helpful for us last year, with Pendlebury and the likes earning respect from all.

This is a much better approach to bring about a positive from this incident - instead of the rumours and innuendo leaving question marks on the whole group.

Reward those who lead the way and get behind them

Good work BB at least somebody has actually taken the time to let the club know :thumbsu:

I have always stuck up for Fev in the hope he would finally mature enough to be a valuable part of a successful Carlton team ..this news makes me start to think that the bloke will never grow up, if he is leading the younger plays astray then the club needs to act now, and make a clear statement that this kind of behaviour is unnacceptable at the CFC.

Well done BB. You've done the right thing by not naming/shaming those who do not deserve it and going back to the club about others. If the club are serious they will start to stamp this rubbish out.
