Saw Oakleigh come from behind and defeat the beena yesterday is a great match at Kangaroo Rd

Oakleigh midfield in the last qtr really stood up. If they had kicked straight in the first half, they would have won by 4 or 5 goals

They could be a challenger if they make the finals

Would of thought the fact Matt Jones was knocked out in the first 5mins of the game and Beena not having a bench after qtr time may have given the districts a big advantage, good effort by them despite the odds in their favour.

Still we hear the bleating about Heatherton, but South Yarra keep doing the job despite their claim of multiple injuries, wouldn't be counting any chickens at the tip oval just yet.

Good signs at the weekend for the Rockers, they look a threat, Caulfield in good form against the Roos and Highett blowing a golden opportunity, can they slide out of the 5???

I cant say who is out but i was talking to one player from Sth yarra
and he told me they had 11 players that could get a game out.
Most are regular players so my Money is on a Yarra vs Heatherton G/F
with a result going with the side that turns up to play on the day.
I really dont think that will change even at this early stage.

they will be playing aganst oakleigh districts later in the year. As far as injuries goes everyone has them including south yarra but 21 go on the ground every week so wont be offering any excuses still seven rounds to go.....

I had a look at the results of the Yarra vs Tunner clash earlier in the year and the Tunners won by 40+. You'd need to have a lot of good players back to have a 50 point turnaround. In saying that anything can happen on Grand Final day.

You seem to know a lot about the league how many sides have gone up a division and won back to back?? i cant recall any in the last 15 years Heatherton smashed us they have been to division 1 recently how could sth yarra be favourites?? we will be happy to win a final we are happy we are competive going up a division..

Yes intresting but i know thats not the feeling around your club.
Stb/ mentone went from c grade to A grade in 3 years so it can be done.
I think even City might have got close a few years ago.
Lets face it 2nd div aint as strong as it was a few years ago.
