Well after Sky Sports jumped the gun a week or two ago - Jovanovic has signed a pre contract agreement. 3 year deal with an option for a fourth year. Sounds like it's about 40k p/w - which is pretty good for a free transfer.

Medical examination pending, of course.

Maxi was woeful yet again. How he has been starting ahead of Riera is beyond me.

Degen should never be allowed to play at RB ever again. Simply has no defensive awareness whatsoever.

4 out of our 5 best attacking players are missing and it showed. Must beat City now this weekend.

Kelly not coming on when Carra had to go off was a disgrace. Certainly wouldn't have conceeded the goal - as he would've actually tracked a runner into the box - not let them walltz into the 6 yard box unmarked. Jeez Louise.

Only positive is that Tottenham lost and Villa only got a point. We werent very good. In fact we looked toothless. We need Torres and Johnson back, and Yossi, we look a far better attacking side with those three. Without them, we lack the creativy and pace to beat teams.

Arsenal werent great either though but they did enough. Losing Carra hurt, as I dont think we concede with him on the pitch. Could go into the City game with both Carra and the Greek now. I hope Kelly plays in front of Degen.

Maxi wasnt great, cant see why Riera isnt playing, we played really well in his last two starts then was benched for no apparent reason? Babel looked alright when he came on. At least he looked like he might score, cant say the same for N'Gog.

What a season we are having. It will be an absolute miracle if we finish 4th.

Pretty disappointing effort.

Arsenal, bloody hell, that mob own us something shocking.

Thought Lucas, Kuyt, Agger and Insua at least tried create a bit, the rest were average, except for Maxi who was dreadful. Gerrard was startlingly mediocre, again.

I'm a fan of N'gog, but geez he should've done better with that chance, that was the critical moment of the game for us.

Kudos to Babel for actually making an impact once coming on, which was a nice change from his usual rubbish.

Emirates isn't a bad ground. Gets a bit of stick over here but I thought it was impressive. Arsenal fans were a decent mob too. Doubt they'll win the title but I'd definitely like them to ahead of the other two filthy contenders.

Cant argue that Degen didnt come on and make an impact as a sub...

Why is Rafa waiting so long to bring on subs? last three matches hasnt left enough time for attacking subs to get into the game.

The performance wasn't great but I thought in patches we played quite well and up until Jamie went off Arsenal hardly troubled us. Chelsea and Man Utd were able to dismantle Arsenal through swift counters and although the gaps in their were evident in the game this morning we just didn't have the players or the will to exploit them. Man City game looms as a huge one and I think we are capable of at least draw with a slight attitude adjustment, as they are not playing all that well at the moment despite getting results.

Poor, poor, poor defending. It is very obvious to ANY player not only a defender that you do not allow people to be free in the box.

Such a disgrace, and such a shit goal to concede, especially when they didnt really test Reina.

Arshavin even went off, so we didnt have to worry about him tearing us a new one late in the game.

Unfortunately, as it has been well documented, we don't have the quality of players to break down good sides.

Ngog should have finished Gerrards through ball. Torres nails those every day of the week. That's why he is the best. I have seen it alot with Ngog that he is slow to get his shot off and always wants to take a touch. I think he actually craps himself a tad when he has a goal scoring opportunity. When he can't think about it he is much better.

Sell Gerrard. Torres and Benny are your best players when fit. It will be between you and City for 4th, so it's a big game coming up.

Cant see it happening now. Plus even if he wants to go, we wont get what we would have for him a few years ago.

Ah well, there's always next season. Hopefully after England win the WC, he starts to re-focus his career with Liverpool and actually wants to win something with Liverpool instead of just wanting to play well for England.

Probably, but they probably don't have any money left to buy players with, unless they sell some (or give us Xabi Alonso back + 40m pounds).

But yeah, Madrid definitely need another midfielder/attacking midfielder. They're running short on those.
