New kits are out. They look very good, all but the pale blue which we have gone back to. Would prefer yellow TBH

Neww Tottenham fan here. The EPL is very exciting from the games I saw last season. I'm going to start following it closely. I've picked Tottenham because that's where half of my family is from in England. I don't know how else I'd pick a team. I also like playing as them in FIFA 10 but for some reason I can't beat Barcelona when I play as the Spurs. Haha.

Will the Spurs have a good season?

Good choice anthj I'm a bit late to the party too only realy followed it closely probably in the 08/09 season before that I was only taking a minor interest in them but have been completely hooked this year.

After years of mid table mediocrity and a relegation scare early last season we've made it into the top 4 which means we qualify for the European Champions League, which means more money and better players will be attracted to the club, especially if you are consistantly in the champs league.

Hopefully we can hold on to 4th and perhaps even snatch the FA Cup with a bit of luck.

4th has to be the minimum expectation this season. We still have the 4th best squad.

We just dodged a bullet with Joe Cole signing for Liverpool. 90k a week wages and taking game time off Bale, Modric and Lennon would have been a suicidal transfer. Kranjcar is better than Cole anyway.

4th will be very tough for us, City will challenge the top teams this season and theres no way we will finish above United, Chelsea or the scum. With the distraction (hopefully) of CL group stages aswell as atleast one good cup run we will have too much on our plate to get 4th again.

Sorry, but just dont see it happening.

Oh, and hi im new here.

i think we can finish above the gooners this season, we can improve on last seasons results for sure. remember we had a horrid run with injrurys and had never really had a full strength squad for alot of the campaign.

To early to make predictions, will wait on a few signings from the big clubs. 4th will be very hard. Man City will be tough.

Lets just hope he sticks to his contract and keeps off his motorbike now.

I hope you're right mate but as long as they have Wenger they will always have the wood over us. He is a genius, a smarmy frog kiddy fiddling prick too, but still a footballing genius.

By all reports it looks as if Jol is heading to our neighbours Fulham. If this was to happen i can see us getting Suarez from Ajax.. As much as it would dishearten me to see Jol at another EPL club i cant help but think Suarez could really take us to another level.

I may be way off but I am struggling to see where the massive improvement will come from for City. IMO the only good player they have signed is Toure and I`m not sure it is a position they needed upgrading in.

Make no mistake, Liverpool are our biggest rivals for fourth. I rate Everton and Villa above City as well.

From the City squad, only Tevez and De Jong would make our best XI IMO.

If we can nab Fabiano or Suarez there is a big gap between us and the teams below us.

Based on what? You realise our injuries were just as bad.

aswell as our poor run of injurys, there were many games where we should of taken more points, we finished only a few points behind you lot. so there is alot more room for improvement with the current squad and we (hopefully) are bringing in some faily big names. i dont see why we wont be challenging you guys come the end of the season.

Exactly the same for us.

Shay Given would easily make your best XI. As would Toure.

To me, Given is overrated and Gomes is a fantastic keeper. Prone to 1 or 2 blunders - but they've become very infrequent, and his shot stopping ability is phenomenal. Creed and I were the only ones to stay on the bandwagon. Go Gomes! :thumbsu:

Ooh, I hope Shane Clayton is a betting man.

If we finish behind Spurs this season I support the sacking of every person at the club.

FWIW in the disgusting prospect of a joint City/Spurs team we'd have half a dozen of the first XI at least IMO.

Definately a position we needed an upgrade in IMO, De Jong is great at what he does but Barry just wasn't good enough over the course of the season.

Toure offers what they do, and a whole lot more going forward.

We should be better at both fullback positions, our biggest weakness last time around. And if Lescott is fit for even half a season I'd expect our defence to be much more solid.

Silva will be an interesting one, but he has got to be an improvement on what we got last season from a creative/attacking midfield perspective. Tevez hopefully won't be missing for a month, Adebayor hopefully won't be missing forbtwo months and RSC will hopefully be missing for a season, replaced by someone (Balotelli maybe) that can stay on the park.

Bellend might be gone, he was good for half a season, other than that I can't see how were not much stronger than we were last season. And he dint have the handicap of Mark Twatting Hughes in charge for five months.
