Pretty quick to forget his game on Hawkins...

Hawkins kicked 4 or 5? Mostly bs goals however if you are close enough to your man he doesn't kick 4 cheapies.

Grima kept Butcher to 1 touch before being subbed. He kept Westoff to 3 touches. Neither scored on Grima.

Grima was moved onto Schulz for 1 minute. Shulz didn't get a possession. In that same single minute Westoff took an uncontested mark 3 metres in front of his new opponent L.Delaney and kicked a goal. The switch back was made instantly. Someone was going to score heavily on Delaney, BON preferred it be Schulz for mobility reasons.

In all this defending of Delaney due to lace out service perhaps someone can explain how Grima kept 3 different opponents to 5 touches total and no score for the day?

Thank you, TN. Your summation is spot on. How anyone could defend Luke Delaney's game on Saturday beggars belief. He played what will go down in history as one of the (oh, forget it).

How anyone could force him out of the rooms at gunpoint this weekend to go play on J Brown is also beyond me.

It's not just about what it is best for Lachie it's about what is best for the team.

Drew is our best current option at centre half forward due to his more complete all round game. Period.

It's then a matter of chooosing one of Tazza, Azza or Milky to play the trusty side kick.

We then load up around their feet, with LT, Harps and get fricken Boomer down there amongst it.

Bingo, there is a multi purpose forward line.

Would like to see Black as the trusty sidekick as soon as he earns his spot.

Yeah Luke Delaney was shithouse. Bottom line. I have had high hopes that this guy could lock down full back. I mentioned as much to Devil Fish as we watched the game. But each time Delaney was scored against, the Big BF would start singing "That don't impress me much". He sang it alot.:thumbsd:

Give me Azza any time if it is a choice of those 3. Shit I'd be very surprised that Mr Butterfingers will be on our list at years end. :stern look

Apparently doing extra sessions on Friday nights by himself in the gym and on the track.

Someone wants another crack.
Was it Daniel Harris or David Hales who was doing "extra" sessions before being given the flick? Not looking good for all the Lachie Lovers out there. :stern look

Massively important. He has to show that he really wants each and every contest. Hard to prove that when you look as laconic as he does but he still needs to give it a red hot crack.
If you look laconic then I dare say you are laconic. There is a reason that Hansen hasn't played seniors this season.

I believe that he will get a recall this week. Let's all hope he plays well and we win. :testicles crossed causing stern look

I guess in a clutch situation, game on the line, set shot to win the game, Bon felt that we were better served letting Schulz take that opportunity rather than Westoff.
If that is the case then :eek::eek:

Not so sure love is the word, but grease it seems is the word for most of our talls, they can't hold a mark above their head.

Also am glad he imposed himself on the contest, last thing we need is another genital giant flopping around the ground.

That'll do it.

Would that be the same reason that Nathan Grima has played only the one game?

NORTH Melbourne's Lachie Hansen will face the VFL tribunal tonight on a rough conduct charge for a heavy bump on young Northern Blues player Tim Totevski, who finished the match on the sidelines with severe concussion on Saturday.
Hansen, who is expected to be in the mix for a recall against the Brisbane Lions this week if cleared, will be scrutinised for the incident in the third term of the Werribee-Northern Blues clash at Avalon Airport Oval

man the guy just cant take a trick!

The quirk of the VFL draw will come into consideration as the competition has a bye this week because of the state game against Tasmania on Saturday. If Hansen was to be suspended for even one week, he will effectively miss two weeks.

this bit is interesting. If he does get a week cant we just say we select him but he misses because of suspension, thus serving the suspension?

No he has to serve a week in the vfl for it to count. Because they have a bye round he has to wait an additional week to not be picked so to speak.

There's precedent for them taking into the bye round though (Geelong player 2 weeks ago) so if he gets one I hope they argue the bye counts.

it's all a bit of a mess. If he has to serve it the following week in the VFL then he should be eligible to play with North this weekend

You'd think so but once a player receives a sanction no matter what league it's in they're technically barred from playing at all levels til it's served.

The whole problem is the vfl's stupid state of origin setup.

In the footage, small forward Totevski's head flings back and hits the ground hard and he was immediately taken from the ground.

Let's hope the force of the head hitting the ground (described as "hard") is enough to cast doubt over what caused the concussion.

Hope so. Timing wise a suspension would be crap for Hansen - and I mean that mainly for his sake more so than the team.

The (farcical) AFL system now considers the force of impact with the ground as linked with the actions of the accused now dont they? For instance you could poke someone with your finger and if they overbalanced and smacked face first into the ground it would be bad for the finger poker... Well that seems to be how theyve officiated for the last 12months, not sure how the VFL works but lets hope they use more common sense.
