Noticed Toyota sponsorship on back of Crows SA guernsey. They are an AFL sponsor, arent they?

Just sayin'

I don't mind it.

Its symbolic that the PAFC has transcended from being part of South Australia to becoming a spirit entity of divine excellence beholden only to true believers.

Thanks Crows, for taking our place in the gutter of SA one-eyed parochialism.

They are copping a hammering over this. Even KG is vehemently opposed! When was the last time KG opposed anything the AFC did? I guess that he's not contractually obligated to blindly follow the line now that he's not with CrowAA.
BTW, is Notso Smart checking out Thompson's arse in the unveiling photo?

To be fair, for all we know KG could have been incoherently yelling at his toaster when they asked for his opinion.

not hear to troll...
firstly just gonna say that we shouldnt wear the jumper vs port.
during heritage round could be a possibility.
reading your posts about trigg and smart i agree both are knobs and our board needs a cleanout... has needed one for a long time. not many crows fans would argue otherwise.
the one and only thing i like about this situation is that we (crows) are doing something to get away from the crow bot era under craig.
not sure its the right thing to do.
What i do know is this has re sparked the rivalary and will make for one hell of a showdown.
it will be packed to the rafters at adelaide oval which can only be good for both clubs.
Footy season seems like its here already with all the banter getting thrown around.
i leave you guys to it.

Might be other reasons behind this move but Scott Thompson an ex PA fanatic as the model & the excessive smirk of Nigel, that is taking the piss.

'Taking the piss'?

Smart wasn't even smart enough to find Scott Thompson a proper pair of sox and football boots for the photo.
He looked undressed.

Them's worse than gross disrespect to the state guernsey Fos Williams coached to a famous victory on the MCG on 15 June 1963 in front of 60,000 angry Victorians.

Them's worse than gross disrespect to Geof Motley, John Cahill, Ian Hannaford and Jeff Potter who all wore that guernsey that great day.

Them's fightin' words.

Seems like there will be a fair bit of sulking from a few parties but once the game has been and decided they will get over it! It's just a game after all

Actually, we're unlikely to let you live it down for quite some time.

I am actually going to be laughing over this all day today. Bastard.

Adelaide chief operating officer Nigel Smart said the move was motivated by the Crows' desire to honour the proud history of SA football. As a part of this did he ask permission of the current sanfl clubs permission or didn't he believe that they had earned the right to have any opinion on the use oftheir jumper?

I guess if you were a club then the members would get together and vote them out. But that can't happen. Cos you're a corporation.

I've heard the SANFL clubs didn't know (or at least one from an ex board member of one who is none too happy), but that doesn't mean that no-one in the clubs knew.

Repost from me on Adelaide board

..... I look forward to the celebration of SA football by the Crows on that day, and the recognition they will give to all teams, including the team that has won the most flags in the SANFL, provided the most state representatives, provided the player who played the most state games, provided the coach who coached the most state games, achieved the longest premiership streak in competition history, provided the player who has won the most competition Magarey Medals, and provided the player who holds the all time single season high goalkicking record.

Because if that doesnt happen, then the Crows and the SANFL will be exposed for their true intentions of this decision.

Its our home game. If they want a cavalcade they can do it standing on segways on war memorial tennis court.

Yes...I am looking forward to the Crows parade of ex Port Adelaide state reps and champions. I am sure Nige has already been on the blower to them all for the pre-match cavalcade!

Did I miss something? Is this legit being pushed for? I'm not standing and applauding Peter Carey, Graham Cornes or Tony Antrobus before a Port home game.

I'm not sure that many of their past players who also played SoO would want to pay homage to the jumper on this stage.

It's a Port home game guys, Crows won't be able to do shit. We can play whatever we want on the screens before the game, do whatever we like as entertainment at half time. The idea that on game day the Crows will be taking this crap further is nonsense.
