Coniglio may have slipped a little in ranking against his team mates. So I think that straight trade is doable
OK stick with me kids.

Bundy and pick 15 to Brisbane.

Pick 5 to Cats.

Cats trade pick 5 to GWS

Sexy young GWS thing to Cats and 19 (and 21? or some other later draft swapping around).

GWS get 4 and 5 which they can give to Saints for pick 1.

I know I'm going over old ground and it's been said before- but he wasn't too 'unhelpful' in 2011, was he?? And, after taking quite some time to come back after his shoulder problems (did you even watch the video of him getting his shoulders taped before a game?), I actually thought he was starting to regain his form- i.e. what we saw pre-shoulder injury, early last year.
Ancient history...2011. He has been awful since coming back except for the last 3 games of the season and one half against Hawthorn. As soon as it is a tough game of contested ball he goes missing. He will be 27 early next season...time to move on and invest (give games) to a youngster. Varcoe is a liability most of the time and he takes a spot from young blokes who need developing. TRADE, TRADE, TRADE!!!

Like it but many dominoes to fall our way. Also means Beams deal to fall away, with 5 and 21 on hand at Lions, could be deal done.

Mooney just said on Trade Radio that the Bulldogs deal with Lonergan looks like it's going to get done :eek:
Good deal for Domsy...well done to him. I also reckon the Bulldogs have got themselves our secret key pillar in our backline. Chris Scott would be very nervous about a backline without Domsy. No longer can we almost guarantee opposition key forward being shut down. Taylor and Rivers will not be able to roam free. Lonergan is a huge loss.

why do people keep bringing up 2011 with varcoe
its like saying hmac had a great 2009, he should be no1 ruck

I like Coniglio and Shiels-you never know-a few people says that a lot of GWS guys want to come home
Personally, if I could pick a GWS midfielder I'd take Adam Treloar in a heartbeat before any of those guys.

Other players we could raid from GWS in straight swap for Bundy - Tomlinson (KPD) or Whitfield. Probably with Whitfield you could Bundle an upgrade of picks.

Agreed, but with a player like Bundy with his back issues and smaller frame, your more likely to get a trade on a 3rd or 4th best mid that may have slipped on performance due to injury during season... That's why players like Rich, Conglio, Scooter should be considered.

Plenty of rumours that Tomlinson is homesick. Am just worried about the midfield but if we can't get straight midfielder swap-he is an option?

I thought Bundy wanted to go to Qld? Has something changed or is this just hypothetical chit chat?

I think there is definitely some potential to be had in a three way between Cats, Lions and GWS.

We send Bundy to Brisbane - Brisbane send something to GWS and we get GWS player.
I'm thinking we do pick 15 and Bundy - Brisbane send 5 to GWS we get back a player from GWS and pick 21.

Yes chit chat. GWS with their young talent are the best to do trades with... If Bundy wants out of Vic as a contracted player he has to be open to other options that are beneficial to club also.

If you consider Bam as a 3rd or 4th best mid you are on the wrong track, pretty sure Lions would tell you he is in their top 5 players..

Maybe, but on form - Rockliff, Redden, Zorko and Handley would be ahead. Aish and Taylor untouchables. Rich has done his ACL, could slow him further...

Redden was also injured, what puts him ahead of Rich.. btw Jack is not really a mid, more of 1/2 back flanker, possie could probably also apply to Pierce Hanley..
