I know I'll probably get lynched for not mocking Jones for his failed drug test, but Big Country vs Overeem has just been announced for UFC 185. I'd assume it'd be the co-main behind the Pettis vs dos Anjos fight.
Now that's a fun fight!

Yep, no one has a sniff now.Jon Jones, the best gram-for-gram fighter in the world. #CrackBones
Tough. I'd say boestch. I'd prefer alves though...those leg kicks are a joy to watchWas having the discussion the other day about 183 and who should be on the PPV, assuming they have 5 fights on the main card the following would be a lock
Silva v Diaz
Woodley v Gastelum
McCall v Lineker
Lauzon v Iaquinta
that leaves one more fight of the following McMann v Tate, Leites v Boestch, Mein v Alves. On paper Tate v McMann is the go but given the female divisions still arent getting alot of traction it will be intersting to see how they do it.
Glover out injured = no opponent for rashad. Good if DC could step in.
Cowboy would but he's already got a fight
Most others are booked and I don't see many staying in shape well enough to jump in. Send perosh haha.Cowboy could fight twice on the same card i think, he might still take it if he comes out of the Hendo fight uninjured.
Surely there was a light heavy who could fill in, surely. Although i do remember when Glover first came in Dana said no one would fight him.
*We applaud what he has overcome*.So Jones tests positive for Coke and the UFC gives him a pass

Bloody Mir. 4 losses in a row...how hasn't he been cut yet?!The fight's off for the time being with Mir and Bigfoot moving from 184 to replace them on the card.

Haha he'll definitely be angling towards that.Diaz to get a title shot after he wins then.![]()

I know it was off just hoping someone would step in so we don't get watered down cards. They'd know a head of time so no one must have been willing to step in
Agreed on Mir getting looked after.Realistically we'd have ended up with a Maldonado type of opponent, so I'm OK with them pulling that fight. I'm no fan of Mir, but the guy makes for exciting fights... he's usually breaking off a limb or getting KO'd and a fight with Bigfoot should at least be entertaining. For some late scrambling, I think it's not too bad.
On Mir though, I'm pretty sure he'll get the Chuck treatment or retire rather than just being cut. Dana would likely pull him aside and give him a cushy job for life.
Dana: if Anderson defeats Diaz he will get a shot at the champ.
He's lost two in a row and been out for a while. That's a terrible call. The division finally has some contenders ready and we keep going to the same old crap. This is up there with the lawler Hendricks rematch. Rich franklin had to earn his way back after losing to Anderson. Anderson has lost twice yet still gets another go. Beating an undersized half retired bum like Diaz means you're a contender![]()

I think he's a FIGJAM though so I'm happy to see him lose again. Especially after the big nog fight. "i've turned the corner and I'm applying myself now. I'm in the best shape of my career."
nek minnit
4 losses in a row.

it's getting very frustrating. People will stop buying PPV's soon enough. It's bad enough that we get watered down cards due to constant injuries. Now we have to deal with fights we don't want so dana can line his pockets. I understand why he'd give Silva a rematch (Brazil), but I don't get the Rory thing. I would have thought he'd want Rory to carry the canadian market after GSP's departure. It's like Dana knows I wanna see Rory and Jacare in title fights and he just wants to piss me off... R-Mac and Jacare are the two clearest cut #1 contenders in history and can't beg, borrow or buy a title shot. Killing the legitimacy of the sport this shit.
haha I loved that fight. He was running his mouth for so long then those fry pan sized fists took him apart. Brock's reaction at the end said it all
