I have no idea what you guys are talking about.I thought 'gun to head' meant 'great player to lead the midfield'. Derp.
Apparently we have to choose either player to keep, while being held hostage at gunpoint.I have no idea what you guys are talking about.
Certainly different type of inside players biggie.
I think Cunners is certainly more old school classy inside, as well as a powerful unit, whereas Spitz is more hustle and bustle with the capability to get on the spread. I reckon Spitz will always get more of the pill, but Cunners will generate cleaner clearances on average.
Well put and I fully agree.Swallow reads it in the contest while packing some momentum better than most. Cunnington is good too but not quite at the same level in that area imo.
Short legs and not much flexibility through the hips = less swing momentum I reckon. One thing that seems paradoxical re Cunners is his kicking depth. For a powerful unit he doesn't get much oomph into his kicks.
People have short memories and a lack of understanding about how long it takes to recover from a non-contact achilles injury.
Half the battle in terms of recovery is learning to trust your own body again.
It's been obvious all year that Swallow has been increasing that confidence week by week, and yeah, i'd say it's in the last 6~ weeks that he's back to his old self.
But that's the key part; back to his old self.
Before the injury he was a monster and anyone who questioned his leadership position as the captain of our club was a moron; he was a three time winner of the club best and fairest and the undisputed captain of the club.
Would be very surprised if it ever came to mind. Big difference between keeping our captain at the club and bringing in a free agent.Cue the sooks about the length and the money and how it cost us Greenwood.
Thank you and well said........but we still hate your side.Take this in the best possible way, but this is terrible news.
Always hoped he would go to a club I liked more so I could truly hate North. As it is, I am a massive fan and think he is criminally underrated by some.
Congrats guys, one club players are a little rarer than they should be.

Beast. Those are some amazing stats. The Roos skipper has been one of the best inside ball-winners in the AFL for the past few seasons. Since 2011, he has led the competition in average tackles (7.1 a game) and is third for clearances (6.7).
From his return in round nine last year, Swallow led North in contested possessions, clearances and tackles.
Champion Data statistics also show that North scored from 30 per cent of Swallow's clearances last year (the equal eighth-highest percentage of the competition's top 50 clearance-winners) and his clearances generated more points than any other player in the AFL from rounds nine-23 (123, 25 more than the next best player)
