I have nfi what you're talking about but please answer this question.
Do you think it's ok for players to make threatening or aggressive actions towards spectators?
I doubt any Carlton fans were even for a second scared for their safety.

As an American, maybe I am not qualified to post an opinion, although Lord knows we have had and continue to have issues regarding race, sexual orientation, nationality etc... What I have found is that these types of things become about something else entirely, with people bringing their pre-conceived agendas and obfuscating the issue at hand. This then so further complicates the underlying incident to the point that it is irrelevant. My take on it was that as a Carlton fan, the dance didn't bother me but it did bother me that he OBVIOUSLY did direct it towards the Carlton fans that were in that area. This coming from a player who went out of his way to insuniate the prior week that there MUST be an ulterior motive for opposing fans booing him because he has never done ANYTHING to warrant that. That to me comes across as disingenuous. If I was there, I wouldn't have liked it if he directed the hokey-pokey towards opposing fans, especially those that are rooting for a 1-8 team, that is looking like a lock for the wooden spoon. We had a situation in this country where a former President (Jimmy Carter) had to apologize because he actually said that anyone that criticized President Obama was a racist. Part of equality is accepting that when people don't like you, it might not be because of your race, sexual orientation or nationality but maybe just because they think you are a jerk and you shouldn't try to hide behind your race, sexual orientation or nationality because it doesn't grant you immunity from the same judgments that ALL people are subjected to.
are you serious... if you think being 30-40m away behind a fence watching someone do a dance is threatening, then god help you. you must live in fear, god knows how you drive on our roads given the number of fatalities and the risk
should we ban the haka (spelling?) then?
btw look at the photos 1-2 people looked shocked, 1 looked angry. the rest were either smiling or almost laughing
Why should anyone really care for the opinion though?

Seriously go and have a look. This stuff is on the public record. It's not statistics I'm after, but your personal experiences.
Like what did you see there that made you think that the community was like a third-world country (ie. Food shortages, poor sanitation, etc...)?
Furthermore, were there any examples of racism or lack of human rights that were notable to you?
Really curious to get insight from others.
We're still a society in which the power structures which oppressed, continue to oppress.
You don't get to clap your hands and say 'all equal now' without addressing those.
I doubt any Carlton fans were even for a second scared for their safety.

"If Goodes expects to live in Australia then he has to live by our values"
Those invisible spears when held are very threateningI doubt any Carlton fans were even for a second scared for their safety.

And Adam Goodes can make all the political statements on the footy field he likes, just don't squawk when he is criticized for it.
Which is exactly what King said and I agree with.
Why should anyone really care for the opinion though?
That's actually an interesting question.
I judge Pauline Hanson too, what is the emotional force behind that?
Love the sarcasm.
Then ignore the opinion I suggest, rather than exaggerating it into being something it isn't in order to create a strawman argument that you feel entitled to argue against.
and the other Aboriginal players in the competition don't seem to have a problem with what Goodes did. Rioli tweeted his support for it as well.
Sure, but address the underlying question, why should anyone care for yours, or David King's view on a celebration of indigenous culture?
Well let's all move to a communist country or shut down BigFooty and just have you give us our daily indoctrination of what we are to feel and believe.
He may not be perfect.I believe in educating and their are many great indigenous leaders who go about things positively. Goodes is self deprecating and has made the issue all about him rather than the underlying issues which absolutely exist.
Did I ask you a question?
Are you saying I can't have an opinion on something that happens in a public domain because of the color of my skin?
Wow!
Yes you did and I answered it.
