Quite a few people talk up Beyond India, and they're alright, but honestly if you haven't gone to Indian Temptations on Main North Road (just a km or so south of Gepps Cross), you need to do yourself a favour and go there. The place looks like an absolute dump but you will never taste better Indian food in your life.

The only problem with it is that it's pretty much ruined every other Indian restaurant for me now, because every time I eat Indian food I just find myself thinking "I wish I was at Indian Temptations instead."

Pretty cheap too and it's open to something ridiculous like 4AM.

Haha, I've posted here before about how good Temptations is.

I think the best thing about Beyond India is the event food, because it is of pretty similar quality to its restaurant food. Run of the mill Indian at a place where you expect the good to be rubbish becomes really good.

WFL is on the money about Mondo's in Flinders Park. We live in the city and ask them to deliver it's that good. Sometimes they do, sometimes they're too busy, but when they do they get a handsome tip out of us. Worth every cent.

Prefer Saints in Grange

It's the same, prepared at the restaurant.

Yeh that's what I mean. A lot of places that have food stalls, there is a big quality drop off for whatever reason. Transport, Bain Maries, I dunno.

Beyond India doesn't have that. What you get at the ground is just like what you get at the restaurant. For restaurant food, it's good. Nice but pretty standard Indian. For footy food, when we are used to crappy pies and dubious burgers, it's outstanding.

Hanson Rd Seafood pizza my favourite not made by me pizza.

Torrens Rd near Arndale not as good but the woman pizza cook wore a white wife beater and no bra, serves a niche market I guess.

Went to a meeting at the new place on Glenosmond Rd Eastwood was a bit late and it had been ordered, was more stylish than practical. Toppings should be well glued to the base with cheese not looking pretty sitting on top ready to drop off when you pick up a slice.

There is a place near Unley that delivers to a meeting, I stick to the carnivore options and they are ok for a all you can eat and drink night with the bill being paid for by someone else.

Northern Indian Café on Hindley St for a quick ready made feed is not bad.

Adelaide Uni Staff Club is good value too with $6 Pale Ale stubbies.

I wonder if this was what Slippery Pete was alluding to?

My wife is Indian and we went to this place on the 2nd date. It's native-endorsed!

Haha the mods give us an inch and we take a mile :D
Dug a hole for myself with the whole "we'll end the off topic stuff as soon as there's some genuine news" thing.

Two days later... :o

Do I pull a Trigg and bring the decision forward?
