West AdelaideThat's when we were rebuilding ....not our current situation KaneTorney. Hart...
There is a quiet confidence emanating from the club.
We've said so little about it. Haven't reacted, aren't releasing statements about the situation, not trying to hose down speculation, not giving ultimatums or deadlines. Just a straight no comment every time. Rinse, repeat.
Not necessarily confidence that he'll re-sign, but at least that we have the situation under control.

We beat the Dees this year & lost to them last year.Last year.
Just replying to your post that it supposedly never happens when it already has. That's when we were rebuilding ....not our current situation Kane
Do you think it'll happen ?
I dunno...he was playing quite well before his reco and can be a swing man. His versatility is handyOtten should be encouraged to look at free agency as we need to move on or tell him, he will be a back up sanfl player.
West AdelaideYes ....and you have to make smart decisions not emotive decisionsIt take courage to win a premiership. If we don't have that courage, we will be an also ran for a number of years.

West AdelaideSo would i .....i said that last year as well ....but he won't be delistedJust replying to your post that it supposedly never happens when it already has.
Personally I would trade Wright.
I wish we would see who was bluffing, but I don't think we will as he will re-sign.I don't think it's confidence, and I don't think it's panic. I think we understand the situation and nothing has changed. We have our strategy and that's that
I do not think we will match. I think it's all a bluff. We know he's going, and we know we can't afford to end up with egg on our face or no compo. The situation is what it is.
All this crows will match is absolutely emanating from the club, we are briefing journalists left right and centre
We're not going to match because that this walking into a room with the door locked behind us, there is no way to back out. But by bluffing we send a message:
1. We encourage Danger to take our offer, but letting it be known we'll make it really hard otherwise
2. We force Geelong to offer more than than they want, thus making their cap mgmt more vulnerable.
We still don't have any leverage if we match, and we won't, but it's interesting that we are trying to manage the messaging to influence negotiations ahead of then
How many teams would Wright be starting 22?Just replying to your post that it supposedly never happens when it already has.

West AdelaideNeed to read my posts on Wright and Van Berlo in recent days .......you're making emotive calls without any reference to Draft, contracts, list balance & age breakup .....just pure emotive callyeah ok. you don't watch games, i'm sure of it.
.....as much as i've said Wright should be traded or another player played in his place ......Delisting won't happen
West AdelaideHe is brodie martin of 2014 and is only playing because of injuries to Crouch, henderson, janesch , otten etc
Otten should be encouraged to look at free agency as we need to move on or tell him, he will be a back up sanfl player.
...Wright plays forward .....all the players you've named play defence or diff role ?
Probably about 8.How many teams would Wright be starting 22?
Probably about 8.
Would get much for him.
No way, unless he has another major injury or repeated soft tissue inj for the rest of the year. You just put a resting mid in his spot.
my current list changes for 2016
delist-martin, shaw, siggins, wright
retire- podisadly, Reilly
with thompson, dangerfield, lyons possible outs
Whoops, missed a 'not'.like?
3rd round at best - pick 60
We really want to sign a guy for 2 years against his will so that he can walk out on us in 2 years time?
