Geeze, so we've gone from hoping for a Jeremy Cameron, Hannebury or Treloar, to wanting Seedsman.

How the mighty have fallen.

Our trade mantra is ," if they'll improve us we'll have a go".

Unfortunately we don't seem to appeal to young 20 something's, currently. The more mature and wiser heads ( Higgins and Co) seem to understand we're a great club to be at.

I like that the club is seriously involved. Also we have spoken to Yarran, Bennell, Hall and Seedsman and a few other that have slipped my mind. Unfortunately we can't force guys to join us.

With our season well and truly alive we're probably not too focused on recruiting as yet. In two weekends time we should be ready

I was more talking about supporters on here who are wanting Seedsman, when months ago we talking about much bigger names and how our standards have fallen.

Trading for him would just be a trade for the sake of making a trade.

We have our own Seedsman in Mullett, he's not needed.

I might get an outcry for this but Brown hasn't been that convincing for mine. Sure he will be a solid player, but I think it remains to be seen whether or not he can become the elite forward that we need going forward. Regardless, a genuine threatening side needs more then 1 key forward. We need to either start developing one, or get another through trade/FA for mine.

He's doing better than Boyd and Patton. I'm more than happy with his progress, still only young.

Hartlett is a very passionate Port man and hates the Crows. I'd be shocked if he was someone they got rid of to clear space - he was probably their best player in the last two months of the season.

The Adelaide Advertiser's Michelangelo Rucci is reporting that Adelaide and Melbourne have asked about Port Adelaide midfielder Hamish Hartlett. Port Adelaide are close to their limit of their salary cap, should they sign Gold Coast Suns' Charlie Dixon during the trade period.

- SEN is stating that out of contract Adelaide midfielder Matt Crouch is being chased by the Saints, Tigers and Demons. Crouch averaged 21 disposals from his 17 games this season.

I've always thought Hartlett is overrated. One of those players that looks like he has all the tools to be an elite AFL player but for one reason or another just doesn't put it together. In saying that, I wouldn't be disappointed if we get him, but I'm not sure he's a 'big fish' or a player that will transform us as a football side.

I'm not a massive fan but he's a good footballer entering his prime and think he has a skill set that would compliment our midfield group nicely.

Like Waite, Higgins, Jacobs and Nahas? We have a good record since Sierakoski of turning spuds at other clubs into good players at ours.
