Yeah, had the similar thought re compensation and what not.

Don't know why, but just felt like I'd been picking up some different vibes from him latetly. Not negative vibes as such, but not positive either.

But of course then I remembered how he's been to basically every single Essendon afl/vfl game so far this year and I felt better.

Most weeks on 360 he has almost entirely referred to the club and issues around the club in an inclusive sense (i.e. "we" as you say).

It's true that he's qualified some of his statements, but there really isn't much to worry about. I'm no expert, but tbh I think he's just being careful while his compensation is being sorted.

Yep pretty much every time I've seen him he always says "we", "us", etc. Speaking as still part of the team, even when discussing the blokes who are currently playing. Then factor in that he hasn't missed a game and has also been attending VFL games. Not really the actions of a bloke who wants out.

Just curious, but is anyone at all actually nervous/hesitant about heppell's status? Don't get me wrong, I thought he'd be a lock to return as well, but I can't help but worry.

His wording always seems calculated and planned when he's always on 360, and seems like he's always distancing himself from the club. He hardly says we" or any inclusive language. Maybe I'm just reading wayyyy too much into it but it sounds odd when he constantly refers to the club in a distant choice of wording. Even just his body language looks uneasy about it. Apparently his manager is pretty ordinary too. These are only little things I know, but still...

I know everyone is very confident, and I hope the explanations for his carefully couched language are right, but it is worrying for me at least. That article above, whilst it looks like complete rubbish, if Hawforn put a massive offer on the table for Hep and Hurls it would have to be attractive. And wouldn't the AFL love it to! Weaken EFC horribly and strengthen beyond belief the team who has won at least 3 of the past 4 flags. ****en lol
