As far as I know prestia will end up at melb and neale adelaide?

Because they barracked for them as kids? Not sure that's the be all and end all for where players end up.

Who was the last player to request a trade to the wooden spooners?

If by some tank freo finish last I don't see any trade getting done for McCarthy

Apparently Tomlinson did last year

I just thought him wanting melbourne was a BF rumor, I thought all the noise in the media was that he wanted to go back to Adelaide.

On prestia, aren't his family couterie members or something? And considering they are also a club interested in him. One thing that sits well for us is that they don't have a first rounder for this season do they?

Personally would love prestia but for a future pick.. I think he's an immense talent, and we need more inside bulls like him. Don't think our likely pick 1 or 2 will be a good trade even with something back, and if we used a future we'd be banking on finishing higher with 10+ players coming back + a year of development into younger players.

However still think Patton should be primary target. Would prefer to get him considering the rumor he wants back to melb and giants not having the coin to hang onto everyone..

The only seemingly realistic target that I see any point in bringing to the club is Patton.

Watched Talyor today, for example, and could not help but laugh thinking that his name had been suggested. Disposal is deplorable, he is mediocre.

If you're small there are two non-negotiables: first is that you must be gas and second is that you must have immaculate skills.

Don't rate small, one paced inside midfielders, period. It's a dumb list management decision to invest picks and money in a player that just makes the midfield balance hard to get right. If you don't have pace you have to be big enough to absorb contact and free your team mates.

If we are going to remove ourselves from the draft it has to be to address needs. Getting players who are slightly better than the players we have (which may not last more than 12 months when our young brigade mature) is not addressing a need.

Tomlinson with 52 touches and a goal in the neafl

26 kicks
26 handballs
11 i50s
5 rebound 50s
3 tackles
5 hit outs
1 goal

Dodoro do your magic....
I saw the game, looked very prominent around stoppages as a big inside midfielder. Obviously his tank is massive which allowed him to have so much of the pill. I was actually more impressed with Steele tbh, GWS have got a super player on their hands in him.

This post is 100% correct - Players must be considerably better or fit a specific gap in the list.

He'll be a Ward clone IMO. Would love to grab him before they see his true value.

What is Cooney doing in a team with all of our best players? I would not have thought it would be much.

Thought Cooney today in terms of the role he played - Will be marginal best 22 next year - Question is who do you play - Cooney or Stanton or Hocking ?

Stanton, more consistent. If you want someone shut down though then Hocking.

I think we'd still have to give up a high second rounder at least. They took him at 24 so would probably be asking for something similar. Hopefully Dodo sprinkles some magic and gets it done though

McCarthy to freo, Neale and Tomlinson/Steele/Patton to Essendon, 2nd round n future picks to GWS so they can keep they're academy's.

Someone is agreeing with my sentiments from the past 12 months?
