Cheney is the better option to replace.
There are plenty of other options to replace Smith
Not following at all. Who's replacing Smith and where do you have him going?

Well if you're talking about the hbf position, it's mostly Cheney and Laird that play hbf most weeks anyway. Not following at all. Who's replacing Smith and where do you have him going?
That sucks, can we upgrade beech if we put him on the long term injury listTerrible news poor bloke![]()

so no more rookies can play thenI think the cut off for long term injury list is Round 18
Noso no more rookies can play then
Crocodile DoedeeHe's a beast
Thompson, Douglas, Cheney and Mackay out for Menzel, Doedee, Milera and Seeds/Hampton. Not bad.I can't wait till the guys in the sanfl take the next step.
Imagine this side for the next few years
Lever, Hartigan, brown
Laird, Talia, doedee
Atkins, mrouch, Smith
Cameron, Tex, lynch
Menzel, jj, Betts
Jacobs, Sloane, brouch
INT Lyons, McGovern, Hampton/seedsman, milera
Assuming cey traded.
This side could play together for quite a few years
Fair well match could of been this week then we could of left him back in PerthWould mean a player dengined to play finals ends up with 2 weekends without a game. Doubt there'll be any gifts whilst there's a bye between the last round and finals. Bit sad really.
But we lose vital experience and leadership qualities!Thompson, Douglas, Cheney and Mackay out for Menzel, Doedee, Milera and Seeds/Hampton. Not bad.
I actually don't think beech will get retained.Could beech play thommos role next year looked very good around the ball can rack it up and takes lots of marks
Why? He has something i reckon. Would slot in to AFL footy no problem at all.I actually don't think beech will get retained.
Yep I was at the game and he looked like he had been playing every week not having not played for 3 months.Knight should be seriously considered.
Wigg too, but I doubt he will be.
And 3 goals for a top up player isn't bad!
Are you sure you were watching VB and not confusing him with another player? There were a lot of crows boys out there!
Norwood were very good at hanging on to our players with no repercussions so Dear had very limited opportunities because of this and they were hanging on to Grigg as well.
Hunter and Lowden worked hard and were pretty influential around the ground. Hunter's competitive nature in always after the ball is a big positive. Lowden has improved his kicking and his two goals were very good long kicks. Wigg was close to best on IMHO - a couple of his hand balls out of congestion were so good. Henderson was Hendo in that he did some very good things and then did some Hendo things like looking at his opponent and not deciding to man up on him. Surprise that Norwood then passed the ball and got a goal from Hendos lack of defense. Gore was not happy with Norwood's attention and has quite a bit of fight in him.
Down defense way Kelly provided a lot of voice and run. Doedee made some poor decisions by foot in the first qtr but was very good otherwise. Meath pushed Johnston up high and negated any forward moves. Hampton - oh boy, his ability to just take the game on and run past everyone is insane. He knows they can't tackle him. VB had good directions and did a lot of nice things. Got tired a bit in the last qtr which is understandable. Otten was Otten.
Mendel might not get the best opportunities but his 2nd, 3rd and 4th efforts show the rest of the forwards how to stay in the game. Works hard. Beech's courage and intensity is second to none, especially in the last. Knight it was almost as if he hadn't been out of the game for 3 months. Some of his kicking was a little off but he got it by the end. Greenwood takes a little bit at the start to get the pace of the game but a couple of our goals were due to him body lining the ball and forcing a turnover. The others are keen to help Milera stay involved in the game. Does a couple of those class things but still isn't as involved all the time like he should be.
It was a pretty dominate performance overall from the team, including our top ups.
Yep I was at the game and he looked like he had been playing every week not having not played for 3 months.
He was great, fast, running and creating options.
Menzel was also very good. Any question mark on his effort haven't watched him play. He runs, tackles and has lots of 2nd and 3rd efforts.
Probably won't happen but if we made these 2 changes our side would be immense:
Out: DMack, Douglas
In: Knight, Menzel
**** I would love to see that.

Oh and I don't know what we ever saw in Gore. He just doesn't look afl worthy.
I'll have the t-shirts made.Chances of one of the top ups being rookied?
I didn't make it, but let me know next time, we'll catch up and have a beer at the inaugural 'WW and Vader are always right fan club' meeting
And I'd love those changes; Wigg in the mix as well as an in, but two of those three in for Dmack and Douglas would improve us as a side, I have no doubt.
Why? He has something i reckon. Would slot in to AFL footy no problem at all.
He reminds me more and more of Schmidt every time I see himYou know exactly what we saw in him - an opportunity to spin a bullshit story to try and hide the fact we got bent over by Geelong.
Milera definitely looks more solid than he did at the start of the year, that's just by going from TV. He's probably put on 5kg I rekon, we'd have him on a good diet/weight training.I'll have the t-shirts made.
Wigg looked very good and very promising. Lot more solid than I imagined. If one of our inside mids went down then I could easily see him come in.
The good thing about Knight and Menzel is they would replace our 2 weakest players and instantly better the side as they can play the same roles.
If they want defensive pressure in the forward line, Menzel would kill Douglas in that regard. Likewise creativity and goal scoring.
I liked the look of Hampton, give him a decent pre-season and he could play from round 1.
Doedee just looks like a class act. Poise and smarts, he just chooses the right defensive action.
I was also suprised with how big Milera is up close, I was expecting to see a skinny kid but he isn't at all.
On the Ollie Wines Diet?Milera definitely looks more solid than he did at the start of the year, that's just by going from TV. He's probably put on 5kg I rekon, we'd have him on a good diet/weight training.
