/goes off on tangent- yesterday we had a guest speaker, speaking about mental health issues problems etc. He went to a 2nd or 3rd world country (sorry cannot remember which one)- there were 150 kids in a tin shed- all quiet as a mouse- all learning from one teacher and one chalk board. They all appreciated they were so lucky to be having an education they didnt utter a sound while the teacher was speaking.

He spoke to the Principal/someone of the school and the issue of suicide came up. He had no idea what suicide was, the actual concept of it. Then he said "Im really sorry that PERSON did that" Like singular. Ever. He then had to re-explain that on average 8 people in Australia take their own life on a daily basis. He could not believe it.

So basically in a nutshell these people who have nothing are happy and do not commit suicide. Whereas we ****ing stress over having the lastest dumb ipad, phone, etc its so ****ing stupid. Gratitude. We all need to have a bit more gratitude and focus on what we do have, not what we dont.

That's the one thing I got out of it anyway.

Despite the last 2-3 pages, I have that feeling that it's a safe place here to vent and through that vent, also share some personal things that are upsetting/annoying.

The good thing is, she was honest that she wasn't interested and didn't drag you along and take advantage of you. You now also know what kind of person she is, and that kind of person isn't worth it. You will meet plenty of other people. I know how that sounds, and I hated hearing it when I was in your position, but when I looked back over the years, I did meet a lot more than I had realise.
