Origi hasn't been great so far so if Ings keeps scoring then he should be given a chance

Yeah I think both goals have been League Cup goals. He hasnt had much of a chance in the league though. 5 mins here or there. The thing is, if we bring in Ings, he will just be getting the same minutes anyways.

Plus late in games when the game is stretched and if we're in front in particular and the opposition is pushing for a goal, you want Origi's ability to play on the shoulder and his pace to get in behind. So he's more suited to that junk time sub than Ings IMO.

I don't mind giving Ings a go, good form in the reserves should be rewarded, if anything it could help Origi more playing more full matches in the reserves

As I said Origi is more suited to junk time IMO but yeah I wouldnt be at all phased to switch the two and give Ings a shot with late minutes in games and give Origi the full 90 in some U23s games. Although I think Origi would destroy U23s defenses.

I guess it is just a vibe. Maybe he gets harshly judged because he simply doesnt have the tank that Firm, Cout, Lallana etc have.

His body language doesnt do him any favours. We also cant pretend to think that he is happy with his current coming off the bench role. We all know he isnt.

With Studge, it's always been bullshit that he doesn't work hard or he's too selfish, his problem atm is he seems to have lost a yard from all the injuries

Which is fine, to be honest I think given the intensity required in that role it's probably not a bad thing to bring fresh legs on around the hour mark - whether that's replacing Sturridge, Firmino or Origi. All look capable of hitting the scoresheet so we don't really lose out too much in terms of quality in that role by rotating them regularly.
