Mayne to pies freo pick 23 compo.

Tmitchell to haw for 14 and later picks.

Smitchell probably traded from haw to wce.

Geelong say no to caddy dogs possibly want deledio.

Kersten requests trade to freo, vardys destination up in the air.
If you could succinctly sum up each day like that I could save myself many hours through the day.

If Geelong moved on their champion best and fairest to pay Ty Vickery half a million dollars, I doubt posters here would be applauding Geelong's brilliant strategy.
He is 34 and was 50-50 about playing or retiring at the beginning of the year with most thinking he would retire. Our 34 year old won an all australian (mitchell didnt) and came third in our best and fairest. We dont care that he retires even though we got nothing. Hawthorn win if they can get anything better than a fifth rounder for him.

I dont like Kersten but Freo get pick 23 for Mayne!!! MAYNE!!!

Based on that we should definitely get 35 from freo for Kersten.

Freo would be absolutely stoked with 23 in this years draft for bloody Mayne.
Blame Collingwood, they offered the big contract.

He is 34 and may have been 50-50 about playing on at the start of the year, but at the end of the year he was their best player. And they are pushing him out the door and no, they won't get anything but salary cap relief.

Why do people have so much trouble spelling players names?
Deludio, Cuckatoo, Smelts... Does my head in.

To be fair, some people are dyslexic. (Not sure if that comes on a spectrum, but that also wouldn't surprise me.)

And also once you've started spelling something incorrectly the brain has a remarkable capacity to see it as that in every other case. I remember I used to post on a forum and for years thought I was conversing with a bloke who liked skating. Turns out his name was actually "S8N", no k at all. :|

So other clubs have to suffer because stupid clubs offer stupid contracts. Have I mentioned I hate compensation picks?....
I loathe free agency full stop.

Nah, I'm ranting about every little shit in his 20s that I see, every friggin' day. Livin' at home, pumped full of steroids, drivin' flash - throwin' cash - all in crappy clothes, hangin' around cafes, textin' their bets while chatting up the waiting staff who get paid crappola having to put with the privileged muthas.

I'd say 80% of footlballers under 26 fall into this category.

I'd say you're delusional and appear prone to "talkin' trash" yourself.

I find it really strange too, it's basically a non factor in the major sports codes of other countries. In football in Europe it's almost a given that you'll not just move cities, but probably countries and languages throughout your career, maybe even most of it.

Not that I'm exactly complaining given that's how we landed Danger. But it is odd that a decent subset just can't seem to integrate away from home.

I think it's something that transcends sport too; whereas in the US, and, to a lesser degree, Europe, it's commonplace to pack up the bags and move across the country or even overseas (obviously more likely in Europe) to go to university / college, in Australia we have a tendency just to head to the closest uni to our home town, or otherwise get a job nearby. Probably that stems from the simple fact that there are a lot more major cities in a closer proximity than there are in Australia.

Point being that while I agree with the OP's notion that it's better to grow by opening oneself up to new places and new experiences, there's something about our culture (probably the geography and population clusters) that has normalised the opposite.

Why do people have so much trouble spelling players names?
Deludio, Cuckatoo, Smelts... Does my head in.

Has it occurred to you that some may do it deliberately?
Delidio often gets called Deludio. The play is on "Deluded" or "Delusional" I would think.
But Kersten often gets spelled "Kirsten" or similar on this board. That seems more a case that people are ignorant of the correct spelling of Shane's name. But I suppose if he had of stuck with his father's name, then people would still get it wrong. Shane Stevens-Shane Stephens.

Better have some back up plans or we will not be improving , Hawks setting the standard.
Get creative Geelong

Did you not see our off-season last year?

Danger
Z. Smith
S. Selwood
Henderson

We don't have much to play with this year, will have to be creative.
