And a prick to work with. Then again during filming of 'The Royal Tenenbaums', (the seminal film of the 2000s) he stood up to an even bigger prick in Hackman, who had made life on the set unbearable.

His SNL work, especially with Gilda was brilliant, if you dig around there's footage of him and Chevy Chase doing Beatles songs, literally seconds after they had a fist fight in the dressing room.

Who is to say that people wouldn't have reacted the same to Jobe handling the medal back 6 months ago as they are now.

At the very least he did fess up and apologize, in my book that does count for something (unlike Hird or Lance Armstrong)

To me it counts for very little, I can fully understand why he didn't hand the Brownlow back until the point of the bombers being found guilty and starting there ban, but lets be real Watson should have handed it back 12 months ago, all that crap in the Swiss courts was only challenging the process not the result and if they had of won WADA would just go again.
The Brownlow should be awarded to Mitchell and Cotchin and it staggers me that anyone can't have the same opinion, any other individual Award or sport in the world would do the same.

I'd buy many things about the Essendon saga in regards to their players.

1. They didn't know what was going into their bodies.
2. They had been terribly misguided by everything to do with the cult of Hird.
3. The club told them lies and re-assured them that all was O.K.

One thing that no-one seems to raise any more is just how big and strong this mob rolled to town, into the season proper.
In the case of Jobe, what does he think made him and his team-mates superheroes for the first part of the season? Has Jobe forgotten?

This being the case, how with all his integrity, did he hang onto the medal for as long as he did?
That's not integrity and no sob story and fluffy words will changes that. The media is already glorifying the character of the man....I don't see it.
