Drafting is risky and they also take a long time to develop. I'd prefer to go for Schache who while probably not going to be a champion will almost certainly be pretty good.

Does he kick goals? If so he's exactly what we need! Players needing to be 195+ to be considered 'it and a bit' as a forward is the biggest croc going!

The Schache talk has me sick in the stomach personally because they'll want a top 5 pick for him which there's no chance I'd give.

Not exactly setting the world on fire but let's not forget he's a 2nd year KPF in a crap team who has had a few injuries lately.

KPF's usually take 3-4 years before they start performing at a decent level.

It's funny how his accuracy for goal has been so bad at AFL level...i remember everyone banging on about how he was an excellent set shot in his draft year...it was one of his key strengths.

I agree. My concern is that if he comes to us with our current game plan and delivery into the forward line, we will destroy his confidence as we did with Cloke and now with Moore.

I think Fogarty would partner Moore well. He could come in and play a role in the forward line straight away. He's 192cm and 90kg already.

If we go down the Brander and Hayes line I think they are going to take a little bit more time. Not totally sold those two as of yet. Brander has only played school footy this year and I think he's now injured, so hopefully he can get himself up for the champs and show a few things. Hayes while is a ruckman first has showed a little bit in the forward line but needs a lot more development.

Thoughts on Josh Bruce? Bruce has been below his best the past season and a bit and St Kilda might have interest in Sidebottom to strengthen up there midfield?

Schache interest pleases me, id swap a top 5 pick for him.

If scharenbergs the "upset player" we sould be stupid not to package him up for Lever.

Glenelg’s Darcy Fogarty has revealed a sudden growth spurt has him primed to take the next step in his quest to post a strong 2017 campaign.

Considered to be one of SA’s brightest teenage talents this year, Fogarty has shot up from 189cm to 193cm, since August last year.

Speaking on SANFL Radio, the 17-year-old said he had also put on at least six kilograms in the same period to ensure he tips the scales at 90kg.

He's a beast. Has played all across the field of late. But I think he'll be shown off in the midfield at the champs. Which will have people up in arms if we got the chance to pick him because he'll be labeled as a big bodied mid even though he's a more than capable forward.

I can't see it being Shaz at all. I think he'll be just be happy playing footy at this stage. He's only been in the VFL for a month, that's really nothing. Good chance to get selected this week.

Bruce would be a good fit but StKilda will have earmarked Bruce and McCartin for life post Reiwoldt.

He would actually be perfect. But my only argument for him traded is his recent average form. Like you said i wouldnt be surprised if saints wont let him go.

Problem is depends where you finish.
Pies won't finish bottom four so pretty much rule out getting a key forward gun with pick 8 unless you get lucky.
