You make a few good points. All ruckman tend to have a injury here and there though. I'm not saying throw everything at him but something that will make Carlton a bit nervous. It would give us a fix for those years where Darcy can learn his trade in wafl and as back up. Darcy isn't exactly ready for as soon as sandi steps aside. We have seen life without sandi is going to be terrible and to stop all these beltings we need a fix while our youngsters developWhy? IMO good player and fits a need of a ruck/forward but the cost would surely outweigh the value? He is 28 this year and given his injury record you would think he probably has another 3-4 years in him max? Unlike say Sandilands, his speed and mobility is a key part of his game, but that is the bit that goes the quickest with age.
If Darcy is our next permanent ruck then such a move would possibly eat into opportunities to develop him (look already at what happens with Griffin).
If bringing him in meant the difference between being a top four contender and being an also/and then yes do it but IMO he is not in himself propel us into that space.
