Today's result didn't affect the fact that - haven't beaten a side in the 8 at the time. They would however have had 2 wins against sides in the top 8 currently.

Good result - Pies won't be in "do it for the coach" mode, and we won't be in "oh we can take these guys easy like we did North" mode.

If Port make the grand final they will be the single worst top four team of all time.

I mean, this isnt an occasionally brilliant team with inconsistent form. This isnt a good team struggling through injuries. This isnt even a steady and reliable, but lacking genuine top gear team.

This is a team without accomplishment. They've beaten noone of substance, they've lost at every significant challenge and all whilst having absolutely no injuries to speak of.

Port fans should be afraid. If this is the best they can do with the AFL having absolutely gifted it a dream draw two years in a row, imagine how much worse things to come could be.

No I won't have that.

2007 Port side was worse and GF result shows why - 119.

The Kangaroos were woeful as well - two of their finals games they lost by over 15 goals!

Plus it is now extremely unlikely that the Eagles would knock Sydney from the top 8 in the event Sydney lose to Hawthorn, Geelong and Crows.

Collingwood going to be up and about for next week now

Horrible umpiring blunder robbed the eagles of a chance to win. Amazingly bad call where the umpires description of the free kick was not even close to what the replay showed. Captains need to go up to umpires after the game in situations like that and demand answers. Disgustingly bad call.

lol, Collingwood aren't making finals, not even close. We should win next week (we've won our last 4 against them). That said, we would be mad to take them lightly, we all remember what happened against North.

The only way Collingwood make the finals is if all non-Collingwood games from round 19-23 are cancelled. And even then it's touch and go.
