If GWS want him, we'd offer him to them for a token late pick in the 90s or something neither team will use.
Trade him to get where he wants to go so he doesn't have to wait for the PSD, we've done trades like that before.

Solid character, works hard, elite defensive pressure.

Would instill some heart in GWS’ forwardline but not much else. Terrible player unfortunately.

Drafted pick 60. Hardly worth that

If that's so, makes you wonder about his Rising Star nomination. He must have had 1 blinder at least.

If GWS want him we will negotiate an easy trade (4th rounder that we and they won't use). We are going to delist anyway, best thing is to get him to where he wants to go.

Not really, played a couple of solid games here and there so must've got the timing right. I don't believe he's an AFL standard player at all but he's definitely better than Sam Reid and De Boer for that role in the GWS team.

He's a solid accumulator but the inaccuracy is unforgivable at times. Can perform as a high pressure cog though. Relentless aggressive, occasionally has a blinder.

You just can't rely on him with the ball in his hands.

If your number 1 need is pressure he's a good get.

I think he's a victim of an unfortunate surname.

Would be highly sought after if he was a John Ironmonger or Jack Steele.

Honeychurch 2015-2017 - 23 years old (round 1 2018), 17 games, 11 goals (0.6), 13.4 disposals, 4.4 tackles (1.3 inside 50)
V
Reid 2015-2017 - 28 years old, 28 games, 19 goals (0.7), 11.8 disposals, 3.5 disposals, 3.5 tackles (0.6 inside 50 - 2015 stats missing?)

Lloyd 2017 - 26 years old, 7 games, 4 goals (0.6), 11.6 disposals, 2 tackles (0.6 inside 50)

De Boer 2017 - 28 years old, 15 games, 8 goals (0.5), 13.8 disposals, 4.6 tackles (1.9 inside 50)

Raw data only, and unable to objectively determine 'pressure' rankings but from this it seems reasonable that Honeychurch would be worthwhile picking up for GWS. Reasonably stacks up well against more experienced opponents in De Boer and Reid, hits the scoreboard more consistently, and I'd expect has greater improvement left in him.

Cheap as chips and a pick 70 odd would probably do it - makes much more sense than overpaying for a better overall performer like Puopolo. Defensive pressure forwards aren't worth much, as evidenced by their draft positions (nearly always late/rookie drafted unless they have super goalscoring ability too). If you look at his VFL performance ratings, it's pretty much the same thing every game - 20 odd touches, wasted the ball a bit, but provided excellent pressure. If he can transfer that to 12-13 disposals a game, 1 goal and 2-3 tackles inside 50 with 5-6 overall he'd be improve GWS for basically nothing.

Think this'd be a good one for GWS.

We have Sam Reid, we've got the good one, who nobody rates but gets the job done. We've also got a local mature age recruit in Daniel Lloyd who'll be working away in the off season.
The club said clearly we want to go to the draft thus year unlike last year, when mature playets were wanted for balance.
This is a bit like everyone saying we couldn't win without Mummy last year. The argument was val7d in 2015 but not last year. Situations change and everyone needs to keep up.

Thanks for telling me about Reid and Lloyd.

His game against Port Adelaide last year at AO was extremely good

Hasn't been at that level since

The thing is, none of our current comparisons are really true forwards they are just playing there out of neccesity.

You cant really judge a defensive forward on the stats used anyway. Reid is oretty much revealed, but there's considerabke upside in Lloyds development you would think.

May I ask why? He'll be 26 before the start of next season, he's not some young kid developing in his first season. Quite poor at AFL level when he played this year too.

He is straight from central coast local league, below Neafl level. He is a very speculative pick and will be given time to get his endurance up to play at AFL level. 17 touches and a goal in his debut is not poor in my book.

You can ask, but could also do some basic research yourself to understand why.
He's a tradesman who was playing in the Local Central coast league. Has had limited time in the AFL system. Obviously his development wont follow the age trajectory of an 18yo from the draft.

Nothing more in the press about the Honey badger.
Shame, seems a good guy and it would be nice to see him get a shot somewhere else. Perhaps GWS are confirming the Mummy retirement then they'll go the DFA route?

Will be best 22 for the Giants in that forward line with his forward pressure which they desperately need. Will add some much needed grit and toughness to that side.
