Bains is an absolute god send. Forget his title he should be the one in the trade room come seasons end.

St Kilda would be below rock bottom if he hadn’t snagged some real smart trades.

Are people for or against longer draft periods such as the ones mentioned by Hocking. Would definitely benefit us in our current status however I am a fan of the developing longer term players over a period of time.

Clay one of my faves but at what point do we look at moving some of these injury prone players on?

Cant just hope they will miraculously get better can we?

Year after year we are going around with a qtr of our list out injured and topping the injury ladder.

Surely something has to give?
Something gives when there is literally no more. At 24/25 I can’t possibly say he is cooked.

I dont think that people want to get rid of Clay, but I think most people are very concerned about his ability to get back on the park at anything like his best.

Given half our list (on an annual basis) appears to be made of biscuits, he's a (sadly) obvious target. I'm having similar concerns about Red, despite the obvious difference he made to our structure in Rounds 3 and 4. Two matches and he's out for a few to manage knee issues. Not a good sign.

I think the lack of information from the club contributes to this, as they provide nothing by the way of useful, actual information.....
I think this is fair

Against it. Leave it as is

Perfect 3rd tall size but needs to improve his goal kicking!
I don’t think his kicking will get much better but either way (and at risk of repeating other posts) stop putting him in a fwd structure where he leads to the pockets. Let Wallis do that given he seems able to kick them from there.

Interesting... we have traditionally drafted late bloomers in their draft year:

Collier-Dawkins could become a more athletic, more skilled Patrick Cripps - if he was to completely fulfil his upside - in theory. Or maybe another Marcus Bontempelli.

Of course in practice, it's a long shot to be anywhere near that good as either of them. But if you draft him, that's what you're trying to get out of him.

The attributes are there, so he could truly be anything and potentially an absolute monster.

Collier-Dawkins is the midfielder I'm personally most excited about in this draft. He's not the best today. But as that exceptionally tall, later blooming mid who is still growing, but then is so clean at ground level, has the ball winning power, distribution by hand, but then skills. He can even go forward and take a grab and kick a goal.

If you want the best midfielder in this draft, Collier-Dawkins is compulsory watching and one you just have to track the development of, having all these capabilities.

This gives even more credit to my trading down theory. Imagine getting him, Curtis Taylor and West...
I know it’s early, but I imagine these players will stay ahead of RCD.

Lukosius
Rankine
King
King
Walsh

So we trade pick four for say pick pick eight and pick forteen (Adelaide’s two picks). They get a crack at Rankine, we get two bites of the cherry plus west.

The highest chance of this happening would be if live trading is introduced and Rankine is at our pick.

If West is bid on at pick 13 we at least get a discount and an extra pick in the top 50. The worst case scenario may not be all that bad.

If we passed on Rankine I'd burn my membership

Or if a King is at our pick and we consider ourselves too tall. Another team may see Max especially as their tall forward hope and trade big with us to get him.

I really hope they introduce live trading, it'll be exciting as hell.

Am I the only one who thinks Wallis might be a decent high production hff if trained there. Brings the pressure, great footy brain, good overhead and excellent kick for goal. Better option than Wood in any case.
