Bloke in his early 40's was just walking down the street carrying an 18-inch speaker like it's a briefcase that was connected to his phone. Blaring out metal music as loud as it could go. When he was across the road and about 50 metres from my window it was louder than the music I had playing whilst working.... When he was 100 to 150 metres down the road I could still here it. I didn't mind the music (don't mind metal but plenty of others don't), but the volume... How does anyone older than a teenager thinks that's all hunky dory?

The worst thing about Twitter is when someone you follow likes any tweet. It always shows up in your feed without fail.

Which means you simply cannot avoid the more repugnant and thick as s**t tweets you don't want to see because a friend is not aware of their environment.

You can click on the arrow in the top right hand corner of the tweet and click 'I don't like this tweet'. Eventually they will stop showing, I don't see them at all anymore.

That's been happening forever. Triple J just randomly decides that someone is a Triple J artist and that's that, even if there's no discernible difference between that artist and a 'non-Triple J artist' (or at least some of their songs). Seems to generally happen with solo Australian (often female) artist v solo foreign (often female) artist.

I buy free range eggs. I have a mate who has hens. * me they're intelligent creatures. One of them acts almost like a dog. I hate the thought of them cooped up in tiny cramped cages.

'Free range' eggs are pretty dubious. From memory the regulations don't stipulate a particularly big area per chicken. They are also roosting animals, so if you give them an acre and a small shed they will all congregate together at sunset. We had them growing up and fed them scraps, wheat, pellets, shell grit etc. and got plenty of good size eggs of varying colours. Makes me sad to open a carton of eggs and see a dozen piss ant little eggs with no colour to them.
