I may like Collingwood more, but Mick Malthouse annoyed me, and his Collingwood introduced the philosophy of it's ok to be a shit kick for goal as long as you can lock it in for repeat entry.

Ahh, the old Alan Richardson special. He's on note that it's what he wants St Kilda to do, blindly kick it to the hot spot and repeated entry will more often than not get you a score. Meanwhile McCartin has just been ignored on a 30m lead when Armitage or Ross puts his head down and tucks the ball under his arm, blindly bombing it long.

I do not like the AFLs unusual starting time mostly the 3:20pm Sunday afternoon time & also the
stupid twilight matches. All AFL matches should start at more traditional time of either 2:10pm
on Saturday's & Sunday afternoons & 7:40pm on Friday nights & 7:10pm on Saturday nights.
Also i do not see the point of Thursday night football, i mean the AFL lets face it would play games
7 days a week in every country in the world if they had there way. I would like to see it go back to
the basics & be more simple. I do not like Gill McLachlin as head of the AFL it would be good to get
someone in charge who does not see dollar signs in there eyes & cares more about the fans.

why don't you do some research into how much money the broadcasters tip in to the game, and what percentage of overall revenues that is? Then have a think about why there needs to be a level of ROI achieved by said broadcasters.

Once you're done there, I'd strongly urge you to try and bridge the cognitive dissonance issues you have around the AFL maximising revenue and the concept of "looking after the fans". Sure there's a balance to be struck but essentially without a good degree of the former there can be no latter.

I guess the main point I'd make is that the world doesn't revolve around you and your sense of entitlement

Do people on the east coast still want to be watching a second game at like 12:30-1 in the morning? Especially if they've been working all Friday, and may have to get up on Saturday morning for their own footy, or for kid's activities.

Nah saturday twilight is thebest timeslot for crowds on the gold coast. Its what us members want. Night games dont work.
So 210, 320 or 440 saturday for our 11 home games is what is needed

I can think of at least four Victorian clubs I dislike more than the Pies - and I suspect that’s not unusual for anyone under the age of 45.

Me too, Collingwood are in my top 2 most liked Vic clubs

I don't think a Tasmanian team would be successful. More successful than GC or GWS? Maybe but i just can't see them getting the issues of consistent crowds of 15-20k and player retention right.

Yep. And it helps when we rarely lose to them as well.
Easily place Essendon and Geelong before Collingwood for Victorian teams I dislike.

nah, a few Thursday games as we have now is more than enough. 2 Friday games for 70% of year would be perfect. I prefer only 2 on Sunday.

Richmond's got an average list with a couple of stars, but they played the rule changes better than any other team and won a premiership, now they have a year headstart on everyone and it will give them another premiership. Great coaching.
