He's out of contract year's end and hasn't bought in at Richmond, my money would be on him wanting home at year's end. And Adelaide's not home.

Are you worried about Burton they would have to be pretty bad issues to not take a player that you want. Doing a hamstring is pretty normal.

I think we need a quality pressure forward and I don’t think we have any draft picks to take one. If we get him as a rookie I think he is worth it. We literally don’t have anyone. Hampton is a delist.

We need to move out RL around. Jars isn’t going to make it. Upgrade Murphy. Get rid of Hunter and rookie another. I’d cut Wilson as well. The rookie list has proven to be a hugely valuable way to get players. If we know someone isn’t going to make it we need to call it. We could take that Pascoe for example.

Is there any good rookie ruckman at any another club? We could do a JJ and offer them a spot on our main list and rookie ROB.

No. I dont think we will see any adventurous moves by the club. I doubt Roughead would come to Adelaide anyway. He is a pretty good player when he is on song.

I am with you on Preuss though. Dont think Jacobs has another full season of his best football in him. We were always looking at 2019 as having a chance IF Eddie, Tex & Sauce in particular hadn't hit the wall. I feel like Sauce is the one that is going to hit and it could cost us a flag. We dont have anyone else and you need that level of influence from a ruckman if you are going to be the best. You can carry lesser players in some positions, but you can't get smashed in the ruck.

Jacob needs to be managed better. He needs a rest every 5 weeks. Unfortunately the days of rucking a hole season without rest are over. If we did that O'Brien could get a chance as well.

Difficult to win a flag in those circumstances. We are betting our future right now with the deals we gave to Lynch and Sloane in particular. It falls apart if Sauce or Tex or even Eddie aren’t up to it. I am most concerned about Sauce. Will need to be able to go up against a Gawn or a Grundy in September 2019. Has he got that left in him?
