Cal was so awful on trade radio, I wonder how accurate he is in his assessments.

i hear he has seen a lot of u/18's footy and talks with recruiters, so he is kinda "ïn the know" but on footy future stars tv show he was taking a lot of Boomer Harvey's advice on players as Boomer coached them or was part of the AFL Academy training and so he seemed knowledgeable about the draftees and was guiding Cal on who was likely to be the big name draftees, so i think he has a lot of his own opinions and takes some hints from recruiters and people who coach the u/18 talent.

Sam Sturt is this years Dylan Williams (2019 top 10 potential) but in a deeper draft and with less exposed form, no wonder people are talking about him now being top 20 and maybe first round.

im going to predict Rozee and Clark will have better AFL careers than the long term elite 8 (King Twins, Lukosius, Rankine, Smith, Thomas, Blakey and Walsh) tag this post in 5 years to see if im right?

Rankine - best player in the draft, but has attitude problems
King Twins - talented, projects, probably both will become quality forwards
Lukosius - has all the tools, but mentally is a bit weak, that could hurt him as football is 80% between the ears
Smith - hard working and speedy mid, will probably go higher in the draft because AFL clubs love mids with speed(used to be tall mids)
Thomas - probably the cleanest inside mid under pressure in the draft
Blakey - very flexible can play any position and has a real competitive streak
Walsh - been a high quality player for 2 years, mister consistent

Rozee - dominating at SANFL level, a real utility, good as defender and forward or in the mid, wouldve played AFL this year if he was allowed too
Clark - dominating at WAFL games as a running half back, another that wouldve played AFL this year if he was allowed

Wat!

Lukosius is "mentally a bit weak"

That nearly takes the cake as the most outlandish UNINFORMED comment I've ever seen on the draft boards. EVER!

Nah I mean for next year sorry

Nah I mean for next year sorry

i wont know until next year, thats just my top 30 in no real order, but i believe Rowell and O'Neill will be in pole position for pick 1 before next season starts.....

P.S. i wish i had put Byrnes from Sandringham and Bianco from Oakleigh in that top 30 for 2019, but like always the boards are an ever changing thing until their draft season is over.

Picks 51 and 88 in the Phantom Draft, i'll log back in on Saturday i guess?

guys do me a favour and let Bailey Williams drop or a midfielder you think cant kick like Worpel, cheers

Jack Ross and Ely Smith are gun mids that have got little to no fanfare this year, Ely Smith is getting some love now, but Jack Ross could be a steal.

Ross isnt as appreciated because of the other talent Oakleigh has

Not as appreciated because he got a state combine invite, not being selected for Metro doesn’t help either. I had him in the 30s before the champs and now have him somewhere in the 35-45 range although he should go later than that.
He's a player I think will prove a few have underrated him if he's given a shot at it. I'd be rapt if Adelaide gave him a crack, really impressed me every time I saw him play.

I liked him very early on after watching him in a practise match, was his composure and decision making that impressed me the most.

He has similar attributes to Tarryn Thomas and yet hasnt had the exposure, im hoping in the real thing that maybe he slides to our first in the 50's, although im not sure on his athletic side of his game?

He suprisingly tested well for speed but yeah it doesn’t show in his game along with his agility. He is very much a pure mid aswell but a smart one and gets to the right spots on the outside. He may only be a solid depth midfielder at best but I think he deserves a chance.

Thomas is taller and a better athlete and is genuinely flexible for where he can play which helps him.

Mosquito Yep....O'Neill I'm not crazy about.

I'm rather more hoping that we trade our 2019 first & pick 53 for 2 early second rounders in the 20's.....That way we're still a shot for maybe Williams & possibly bid for one of Briggs Or Khamis.

If Briggs lasts that long without a bid I'll do a nudie run around Marvel Stadium

Make it Flemington....That seems to be the popular place of choice for such things nowadays.....Just watch out for the marquee tent pegs.
Dont think ive got the fitness for flemington but ill consider it
