Jenkins at his best is still a better option that Ben Brown
Either he’s the biggest sook or he’s just plain honest and dumb. I get the feeling the media have twisted his words a bit to make it look like a child-like tantrum. He needs to be a bit more cliche’, and say things like “yeah the coach told me some hard truths and I believed I deserved it”, “not happy with my current form but I will do my best to work my ass off to try and get back to the senior level”.Being out of form and whingeing about getting dropped .... FMD ....only word for that is SOOK
Jenkins at his best is not better than Brown at his best, Brown just missed out on the Coleman last year.At the moment

I hate to defend any comment on JJ right now, but statistically JJs best season was 62 goals, and BB’s ‘Almost Coleman’ was 61 goals. And in that year JJ outdid him in Marks, Disposals and Hitouts...Jenkins at his best is not better than Brown at his best, Brown just missed out on the Coleman last year.

What would Jenkins get in a trade, or what would you accept?
Obviously how much salary remains on his contract and who is paying it affects things.
Late 2nd rounder? would anyone pay that, especially given the way he is most likely up for trade is if Berg goes well and that would mean JJ spends a lot of time in the SANFL?
There would still be several clubs who could use him.

Still, F__k that guy!
Just going stat for stat. But if you’re going to be pedantic you could also counter argue that the Crows were the highest scoring team and had many avenues to goal competing with JJ. Verses far less potent North team who went primarily through BB for their scoring. We probably shouldnt look at the respective teams they played on.

Again, I don’t really care about any of this, and quite frankly arguing about it is beyond not important too me. So if you want to reply with a snappy remark try and keep this in mind!
I think you underestimate just how much I don’t give a s__t about the difference between these 2 guys, was always a comment on stats vs stats. If you don't want to defend bad analysis, it's easier to just not make it?
The Crows being the highest scoring team created the avenue for Jenkins, they certainly didnt deprive him of them.
In so doing our style of play masked the real problem with Jenkins: that he doesnt have any tools to consistently create goals where they are not created for him. His struggles this year have been the large result of that fact.

If you want to see my opinion on JJ right now look at my last 40 posts about him.
Did your parents not hug you enough as a child? Is that why you are so, well you-ish?Are there armed persons forcing you to respond right now?
Blink twice if you need rescue.
A packet of mouldy chips right now. What would Jenkins get in a trade, or what would you accept?
For all those writing off JJ he has been about the league leader in the tall forward/ruck category for the past few seasons. Yes he's had a bad start to the year but then again, go and do a side by side comparison with the Captain up until last week, Walker has been terrible as well.
When criticising JJ, people need to compare him to some of the other similar tall forward/rucks. I am not comparing him to the key forwards as that is unfair, so no Kennedy comparisons .
Ben Brown - the guy is great on the lead but does nothing else, prefer JJ
Eric Hipwood - huge talent, prefer to JJ
Harry Mackay - emerging, line ball
Dixon - too much of a knob
Mason Vox - nope
Overall JJ is still top 5 in the league in that tall forward/ruck category
But he needs a spell to get angry, do some damage and come back stronger
Ben Brown is a one dimensional player at the moment. Hopeless in ruck, nothing once it hits the deck.
A very good lead and mark forward but outside of that...
Still can't believe that Brisbane offered a straight trade of Jenkins for Rockliff and we said no.
If we got Rocky we wouldn't have had to get Gibbs, would have had 2 extra first round picks and would have gotten more games into a bloke like Foggarty
Brisbane have always denied, including at the time l, that they ever had any interest in JJ

Brisbane are the only club I actually have a source at.
They 100% offered a straight swap of JJ for Rockliff

Will come back to you when this topic comes up again in the AFL mediaThis is not a serious opinion. Please do better
