Have tried explaining this to the idiots defending it on the main board. Gaffs 8 was about right but there can’t be an 8 week discrepancy between connecting flush and a glancing blow for what was largely the same careless action from 2 blokes who’s previous records are very similar. If Ablett breaks Shiels jaw he’s gone for 6, and it’s about 5cm away from happening. How about we punish the action a bit more severely and people will stop flying into contests with raised elbows (regardless if its intentional or not, and in this case it should be as Ablett chose to leave the ground). There’s just too much inconsistency with the MRP and they make new rules up on any given week. Haven’t heard the phrase “potential to cause serious injury” once this week..I think that is the thing. Gaff deserved his 8. The missed shots deserve 3 or 4. Would cut it all out in half a season
That is bloody ridicIf anyone needs a snapshot of how charmed the Tigers’ existence is - ignore the 300 home games per season, this is a doozy.
They’ve only just opened an injury thread today. They have no existing injury thread, due to a lack of need for one. Round 8, 2019 was the first time they thought to have a centralised injury thread for the entire duration of them being any good. Charmed bastards.
Bulldogs vs Lions @ Mars is a tricky game to pick. At Marvel I'd be backing the Lions but given it's being played in the coldest place on Earth I'm swaying towards the Dogs.
Bonus is we should get to see some long sleeves out there.
Hard disagree. If you earn the right to a HOME final, you deserve to play it at your HOME ground. All Vic finals should be played at the G
Non Vic clubs sacrifice enough forced to play 'away' GF's
Cry me a river when a Vic club is forced to make a sacrifice for the betterment of the league..Vic clubs get enough advantages
If its good enough for the AFL to sign 500 year contracts to play the GF at the ground, its good enough to send Geelong there
Friday night is the game I'm scratching my head over. On form you could never tip Sydney, but I don't know if Essendon's run and gun gameplan will be as effective on a ground as small (and with as shitty a surface) as the SCG. on the other other hand, Sydney have been really terrible.

What do you reckon the Giants would say about playing a home final at the SCG?
Guarantee they'll beat us there even if it's the only game they win for the rest of the year.Laws of probability suggest Sydney have to win one at home eventually, right?! They'll be licking their chops at the R12 match up

And grand finals in your home country, right Mr McLachlan?false premise..you only earn the right to finals in your home state
Massive call if serious. Currently have Richmond, us, Essendon, Hawthorn and Melbourne of the supposed better sides who are out of the 8. 10th place is 3 games in front of Sydney with the sides mentioned above trying to get in. I would just about put my house on them not making it. Will deleting my account suffice if they do ?Sydney will still make finals
