Not sure why Brett Dorey didn't work out:There's an endless list of players like Brett Dorey who failed their call up to odi's and finished up with shocking stats.
Mick Lewis was heralded as our death bowling saviour, started OK before being smeared around the park in SA.
He has very limited experienced at domestic one-day level - 10 matches and 11 wickets - but has caught the eye of the chairman of selectors, Trevor Hohns. "Brett is an exciting prospect who has good height and is able to generate good bounce. He has had solid results in domestic cricket and we want to have a look at him at the next level."
Those stats would look pretty decent in the shield today.
Scott Muller and Joe Mennie spring to mind, I'm sure they've been mentioned
Not sure why Brett Dorey didn't work out:
But he can go to his grave saying he played for Australia and that's better than any of us ever did.
Reminds me of Scott Boland taking a 5-for in a FC game and getting thrown into the ODI side. Not sure why Brett Dorey didn't work out:

hand on heart you didn't really believe it... rock on...Reminds me of Scott Boland taking a 5-for in a FC game and getting thrown into the ODI side.
Can't believe no one has mentioned Michael Beer?
I'm pretty sure it was SK Warne who confidently claimed he was going to be the next big thing..?
