Anyone wanna post the vid of that suspended Windies vs England test from the 90s?
There are certain standards of safety that have to be met, which clearly the officials feel haven’t been. So most of this is fairly irrelevant.Lol it's just modern batsmen having poor techniques. The pitch doesn't have variable bounce and isn't two-paced, the ball is just bouncing more than normal for Australian wickets. Play on the ******* back foot ffs, instead of coming forward to it. Time and time again we've seen that whenever our batsmen get anything but a road, they struggle and it's no different here. You're meant to adjust to the conditions and go from there. It can't be that unplayable given they scored 80 runs as well. The two test pitches so far have been a disgrace and it'll be the same for the rest of them if they keep walking off when the pitches don't suit the batting team.
I disagree, the game is naturally dangerous, you have blokes coming in and bowling hard leather balls at other blokes well over 130km/hr. You're also legally allowed to bowl at their heads (provided it bounces first). These players choose to play the sport, they're aware of the dangers before they play, you can't then postpone the match because some of those dangers come to fruition. This pitch is true, it just has extra bounce; adjust and play on. It would be dangerous if the ball was skidding low AND bouncing high at random (i.e. the glass pitch at Sabina park) because the batsmen then can't adjust to the bounce of the pitch, but it isn't doing that. There are certain standards of safety that have to be met, which clearly the officials feel haven’t been. The umpires have stopped play as per rules and regulations. Plus it’s easy to say from an office chair.I disagree, the game is naturally dangerous, you have blokes coming in and bowling hard leather balls at other blokes well over 130km/hr. Once again, it's simply a technical flaw of our batsmen in that they can't adjust to extra bounce. Why are half of them playing forward to short balls or balls that are back of a length? That's just nonsensical batting.

Mate, the WACA has done * all for ages (like well over a decade) and the new Perth stadium pitch is a boring road like every other drop in in Australia. About time something different was produced.Yeah right, because WA is reknown for it's low and slow pitches and their players never learnt to play off the back foot.....

Yep. Sooky sandgroper culture. Batting gets a little tough and sook to the referee. No wonder they win * all and produce shiteOnce again, it's simply a technical flaw of our batsmen in that they can't adjust to extra bounce. What do we want? Maybe not watching guys getting hit in the head from balls which should be played off their hipWe all hear about the extra pace and bounce in WA and how WA batsmen handle the short ball well and you get a few sit up and the walk off.
What do you want? If it does nothing it’s a road if it does something it’s unsafe
