The Pies host the Hawks in a do or die finals clash on Sunday afternoon eAFL at the MCG.
The Magpies were steamrolled by a hotter team at the MCG, with the pre-game favourites wilting under some fierce pressure from the young SUNS. Scott Pendlebury was a star for the Magpies, collecting 34 touches and kicking a snag to will his team on. Brodie Grundy had his colours lowered by Jarrod Witts, so will be keen to find some form.
The Hawks, meanwhile, travelled to Perth to take on the fancied Eagles. The Hawks produced a very even performance and managed to come away with a gutsy 2-point win. Jaegar O'Meara collected 19 possessions and kicked 2 goals, while Worpel was busy in and under.
KEY MATCH-UPS
Mason Cox vs. James Frawley
Cox has carried the Pies for most of this eAFL campaign, but was well held by Rory Thompson last week. Will the giant Pie find his form, or will the tough Hawks veteran have his measure?
Taylor Adams vs. James Worpel
The Worpedo was brutal in the Hawks' win over the Eagles, while Adams worked hard but ultimately had his colours lowered by Touk Miller. We think the winner of this battle will go a long way to deciding the outcome of the match.
Prediction - Despite last week's game, the Magpies have simply been too good this season to fall now, so we're backing them to win by 11 points.
Captains please have your team submitted by 11.59pm on Thursday
