To be honest, Nicks has taken a poison chalice of a position where the club is going nowhere and he will be scapegoated before he can prove himself.

I actually do feel sorry for Nicks.

I am glad they finally have an average coach to go with their mediocre (being generous) list. It has been frustrating seeing them punch above their weight with average lists due to good coaching over the past few years.

Only got the job cause he was the last man standing when others either didn't want the role or stayed with current clubs.

Don't feel sorry for Nicks. I'm sure he knew what he was in for when he took the job. He's a professional coach, and he'll get paid more as the senior coach of a shit team than the assistant coach of a good team. He made the right move for his career.
