Thanks for that Giantroo......further to that,.....does that mean they go down a pick or two....apologies I've taken no notice of the points system....
Yes.

Each pick has a points value. Pick 1 (3000), etc . For Pick 1 you must have the full allocation of points (3000) to keep the pick even though you may have enough to cover pick 2 (2,517).

From there, you just minus the point deficit (265) and you get the table I've posted.

If there's any pick trade to be salty about it's the one we traded away so we would get TT cheap. Yes we needed to use the pick but we took one of the safest options instead of potentially bolstering our draft haul.

The Melbourne deal was a good deal then and a good deal now.

It's a moot point anyway. What's done is done on both counts, and we have a new team in charge.

Why? We've turned that pick into a pick the same range, pick 25 and Flynn Perez
Wait you mean we were opportunistic turned something of value into something of more value? 3 players one of which will be taken around the same point as rhe original thing we traded.

Anyone would think we were looking to rebuild and needed to spend currency to get something back.

How dare you look at a situation logically and without the requisite pessimism at the club.

Another fu** up by the club.

Serong was always going to be available at that pick and we knew that when we traded it. Of course if he becomes the next Lewis Taylor then we would herald the trade but who is to know.
