Probably not bigger dollars in the local scene anymore, but a well paying job would be a lot better than an 85-100k rookie contract.I wouldn't be surprised to see him re-join our VFL. But may chase bigger dollars in suburban footy - if bigger dollars are still available post covid.
That being said, if there is a spot on the list come the end of the rookie draft and he wants to be at the club, I'd take Crocker back purely to play in the VFL.
He's not up to AFL standard, however he acts as the Collingwood version of Udonis Haslem at the Miami Heat. If he can bring the group together and galvanize it after what has been dubbed as 'the off season from hell'. I cant see throwing away a one year rookie contract as the end of the world.
