Opinion Past Collingwood players who could have been anything

Does anyone know if Sean Rusling was able to play any local footy after injuries ruined his AFL career?
I believe his body was pretty stuffed post AFL. From memory I think he dislocated his shoulder on the 2010 end of season trip to Vegas.

Don't think he played local footy but he was on SEN not long ago and works for CUB in Tasmania as state sales manger, so he's done well for himself.

I don't know if he ended up playing or not.

The issue with Lonie was he was the fastest player going ball in hand.

Somehow couldn't catch anyone when chasing though...

A common affliction, even in this day and age.

Mal was let go due to some off-field concerns but he was another we will regret leaving.

I see him regularly near my office. He is always on the darts. Which I find weird. Could play.

Yeah. That's one I'd like to know too. Was runner up in the Copeland in 1989 in a decent team. Then was left in the reserves for all of our premiership year - 1990. Francis and Russell probably just pushed him out, but it was still a dramatic plummet.
Paul Hawke went back to Sydney for 1 year in 1991 not playing many games iirc

Another Tasmanian who went to Brisbane was Colin Alexander. Not that his limit was superstar status but he did kick 4 in a game in his first or maybe second year agst Melb.

Also, I know Ronnie McKeown has been mentioned and I think he was still a good footballer but he kicked 8 agst Esse I think as a 17 or 18 year old in their golden era so expectations may have been raised.

Another blast from past was Dannie Seow, had a decent season in 86 or 87 then not much after that.

Also anyone remember Darren Handley. Had a decent run in the back half of 86 or 87 then disappeared.

One that i can't work out is damian houlihan...bagged 8 goals i think in a pre season match??

Big boy athletic

How did he not make it ?

A bit left field but Brad Boyd. Captained our U19's side yet somehow ended up at Fitzroy and post merger the Bears. Always thought he could have been anything but career decimated by injury.
