The melts would be unimaginable if even one of them breaks the top 20.

Think it’s fair to say that after the year we have had, it’ll be ****ing bullshit if the Dogs get father son, no.1 pick NGA, top 3 pick father son etc etc etc and we don’t even get a second rounder NGA. Pisses me off just thinking about it. The AFL need to be fairer in this process, I suggested it a couple of months ago but they should’ve given every club at least one chance of taking an NGA under the old rules instead of just allowing a few clubs to prosper and disregarding the rest.

Who knows what’ll happen come draft night, but it’s shaping up to be a very hot hot night … (cos the melts)…

We are gonna have to start a countdown clock on draft night. If it gets to pick 20 and none of our kids have been taken 🍾

Well unless we can get something for him we might as well keep him.

From the sounds of things, there isn't any real interest from other clubs.

No point delisting him for nothing.

I was more trying to get the discussion surrounding jumper numbers going haha I have very little interest in what Seb Ross does at this point. Kind've glad he's staying for depth of list but hope we don't have to play him too much next year.

Absolute crap ay?
Dogs get the #1 pick for free.
A year later we may miss a kid if they go at #20.

Neale staying at the Lions now
Is an interesting situation. Wouldn't surprise me if Brisbane told him they aren't trading him and he's coming out declaring his loyalty now to save some face with the fans. Also wouldn't surprise me if this isn't the end of it. Has similarities with the Beams move a few years ago. The desire to move gets leaked. Player comes out with passionate declaration of loyalty. It all goes quiet for a few weeks then it quickly jumps back up during the trade period.

I don't know where they will find a spot for him , the only position he can really play is in the midfield and you can't hide him anywhere else.
I think he's still in the mix, and will probably end up being a regular. There's always going to be injuries and he is probably right behind the starters for a midfield or wing role.

Hunter was presentable in the game against the Dockers.....
He might have room for improvement, was better by the end of year as you said.
Came in straight from state league, wasn’t up to AFL fitness, or speed, wasn’t familiar with our players or structures.
Thrown in the deep end early.
Could be better next year.

Pardon my ignorance...can someone break down into layman's terms what we have to do to secure both windhager and Owen's? If other clubs are keen, does it mean we have to secure another pick inside the top 20 to ensure they come out way?

I was thinking the same, I have no idea.
Glad you raised it.

If they are drafted between picks 1-20, we dont get them.

If they are bid on between picks 21-40, we can match the bid with draft points and get them at a discount. We can do this with later picks, we dont need to trade into the 20/30s. If we dont have enough points with our picks this year, we go into a points deficit for our pick in that round next year which just slides that pick back a few places.

If they are bid on after pick 41, we can get them with our next available pick.

Chris (the w#nker) Scott pulling no punches with Larkins 😲

"Tom is on a program that was laid out by the very best medical experts and anyone who questions that, especially when they're a level below that expertise, doesn't really know what they're talking about," Scott said on Wednesday.

"Someone in the medical profession who hasn't had the opportunity to look at the situation in detail, throwing haymakers like that from the cheap seats I think is highly unprofessional.

"But maybe he (Larkins) doesn't consider his role in the game now to be one of a medical profession first, maybe he's an entertainer."

What an unbelievably childish, whingy and inappropriate response from a supposedly professional coach.

Completely unsurprising though.
